ABC News and Brian Ross can stuff it. It never dawned on them to exercise journalistic discretion and wait before airing the piece.

Of course not. It fit an already written story they all desperately wanted to report — a story that only needed to have the blanks filled in with a few names and nouns.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in the newsroom to see the look on their faces when Ross “discovered” what he desperately wanted to report. Imagine the scene in the newsroom as Ross proudly announced his “research” had revealed “He is a Tea Party member!”

These people are not journalists. They are hacks and political propagandists.

I do not buy for one second that this little incident on GMA was a “mistake”, or just “sloppy journalism”.

No way no how.

It was an intentional smear, just like Arizona and Sarah Palin.

It just fell apart and blew up in their faces much more quickly this time.

Have no illusions, this was an ATTACK, and a deliberate one.
