On July 12 2011 Obama told CBS news that if the Congress didn’t increase the debt ceiling Social Security checks might not go out

Obama: “I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on August 3rd if we haven’t resolved this issue, because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it.”

This is an admission that the money spent on Social security is borrowed month to month.

Any report that references the “trust fund” is a fraud

Very nicely done, Dustin. I’m glad somebody else has twigged onto this, mostly because I’ve been having Blogger Fatigue.

I do have a rather extensive extension of this, which thanks to the comment page automatically reloading and wiping out my work, will end up as a post. Suffice it to say things are even worse than you portrayed.

The real farce here is that there is CURRENTLY a trust fund. There is no trust fund. There is a computer full of IOU’s that they go to Treasury and collect. Then Treasury reissues those IOU’s to the public and increases our debt. In other words, we are ALREADY borrowing money to pay Social Security because RINO’s and Clinton used it to “balance the budget”.

So all this SSA guy is really saying is “we run out of IOU’s to collect on in 2033″. And event that is a date that will converge somewhere around 2021.

Liberals have been pushing population control through abortion and pressuring/guilting people to have small families for 40 years and it’s coming back to bite their pets in the rear. That’s why they are so pro unlimited immigration. It’s just population shifting, so it fits their population ideology, but with amnesty it increases the tax base to feed their pets.

The problem is that most immigrants, at least for a generation or two, are takers from the government, not givers of revenue to the government.
