Nicely done! Made me chuckle

For everyone who isn’t a Mormon, the last panel refers to a children’s song that outlines a few of the main messages (e.g. “given this land if they live righteously”) of the Book of Mormon.

IThanks anyways, I’d rather see the musical…

Let me clean that up a bit:

Thanks anyways, I’d rather see the musical…

I’ve worked with a few Mormons in and around the military, and through Boy Scouts, and for the most part they’re ok.
It’s the kids they send around knocking on doors that irritate me. I have no interest in hearing about life – or how I should live mine – from someone who has not yet had any life with responsibilities outside his parents’ house.

LOL, seriously. Devilishly clever.

You really should hear that song. It’s a classic.

I’d rather we made fun of Baptists.

Why not a musical version of the Koran? Oh wait, there might be a beheading or firebombing from adherents of the “religion of peace.”

Heehee, cute. =)

Um…I thought it was referring to the Trey Parker and Matt Stone musical “The Book of Mormon”, currently on Broadway.

Actually, it is the LDS primary song.

I know it well. It’s better than the Ox Cart children song, or the ever annoying Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam…

Book of Mormon stories that my teacher tells to me
Are about the Lamanites in ancient history.
Long ago their fathers came from far across the sea,
Giv’n the land if they lived righteously.

Pretty sure you’re both right. The first bubble references the musical, while the second references a religious song.
