Featured Games this Week:  Alabama/Georgia Southern and USC/Oregon

Of course the “big news” is the upset of Oklahoma State at the hands of Iowa State last night.

Will post some updates later………..

And, on a more somber note, condolences and prayers go out to the friends and families of the Oklahoma State Basketball coaches that perished in the plane crash just two days ago.

George Schroeder at SI has the story.

Update: For some of you that don’t have the capability of watching some games, there’s some free ESPN live games available online at this link.

So, looks like Oklahoma State has made way for Oregon and Alabama to argue over who gets a rematch with LSU in the BCS CB.

Assuming LSU wins out, of course. They have three more games, two of which – Georgia and Arkansas – have upset potential.

And then there’s Houston who will probable win out and have an undefeated season. Nah.

SlaveDog on November 19, 2011 at 12:41 PM

We(Oregon), have yet another top 20 team to contend with again today. I’m trying to not get caught up in the BCS champ story. Right now I just want to finish the regular season with our only loss being LSU. Since that was the first game of the season, and providing that neither team loses again, a rematch would be pretty sweet. Oh yeah, we have a defense to go along with our offense now.

Go LUS!

Del Dolemonte on November 19, 2011 at 3:37 PM

Wow.

We(PennState) won.

On to Wisconsin.

The Big Ten is still a toss-up.

listens2glenn on November 19, 2011 at 6:47 PM

Shepard Smith just emailed. He wants to know what a pick-six is.

He went to Ole Miss, you know.

SlaveDog on November 19, 2011 at 7:10 PM

Ole Miss is the traditional arch rival of LSU. They have been playing against each other since 1894. In Mississippi, they call it the Magnolia Bowl. In Louisiana, they call it victory.

During the five years that I went to LSU, we only beat Ole Miss one time. They had Archie Manning. We won that one time, because Archy Manning had a broken arm and was playing with a plaster cast.

A little Southern College Football history for all you northern fans.

SlaveDog on November 19, 2011 at 7:23 PM

This is just too brutal to watch, already 20-0. I’d bet you could put the over and under at 70.

Rovin on November 19, 2011 at 7:38 PM

A long night for Ole Miss. Yeah, could be 70.

SlaveDog on November 19, 2011 at 7:40 PM

Upset alert: U of Southern California 14, Oregon 0…and the Trojans are driving hard.

SouthernGent on November 19, 2011 at 9:08 PM

Oregon needs to have a really good 2nd half.

Not so fast…

(I know, I know, you’re watching the game too)

John the Libertarian on November 19, 2011 at 9:58 PM

And I about to say that USC doesn’t look as intense as they did in the first half.

But was that really a touch down. And no review?

SlaveDog on November 19, 2011 at 10:16 PM

Oregon is done. Roll Tide!!

John the Libertarian on November 19, 2011 at 11:11 PM

Clemson upset, and now Baylor over Oklahoma??

John the Libertarian on November 19, 2011 at 11:12 PM

Well you can’t win if you keep coughing up the football, USC.

John the Libertarian on November 19, 2011 at 11:16 PM

Wow… just wow.

John the Libertarian on November 19, 2011 at 11:28 PM

Dang! What a great football game! U of Southern California really was fortunate to win this one.

SouthernGent on November 19, 2011 at 11:29 PM

I should mention that Lane Kiffen is still a butthole.

SouthernGent on November 19, 2011 at 11:59 PM

I’M WITH YOU.

: )

Last night it was Iowa State, and now USC and Baylor.

The BCS rankings took a major reshuffling today.

listens2glenn on November 20, 2011 at 12:06 AM

Aren’t Ron Shoop’s expressions priceless?

Oklahoma needs to play S.Carolina.
Who cares about the play action on the field, just keep a camera fulltime on each coach. That’s where the the best entertainment would be.

listens2glenn on November 20, 2011 at 12:11 AM

Iowa St, Baylor, and now USC have just put the BCS into a tailspin. Why not send Houston into the Tiger’s Den? They’re the only other undefeated team left.

Rovin on November 20, 2011 at 12:14 AM

Clemson went down too.

John the Libertarian on November 20, 2011 at 12:33 AM

Rovin on November 20, 2011 at 12:14 AM

Rovin — thanks for putting these up. Any chance you can ping AP or Ed to give you some main page real estate on Saturday mornings so we can attract more eyeballs?

John the Libertarian on November 20, 2011 at 12:45 AM

Clemson went down too.

John the Libertarian on November 20, 2011 at 12:33 AM

They went down, tried to get back up, and were stomped into a mud hole. Bwahahaahaha. Climpson fans are the worst!

Good. I can’t wait to see all the SEC haters on ESPN whining about all this tomorrow.

SouthernGent on November 20, 2011 at 1:13 AM

Boise State’s heartbreak 1 point loss last week doesn’t sting as much now.

Of course, the season’s only got a couple more weeks.

(Full disclosure: the University of Tulsa is my alma mater. Roar, Hurricane, roar!!!)
