Baseball-World Series-Game Six: Postponed

Looks like the weather is not cooperating in Saint Louis:
ST. LOUIS — With ugly weather looming over Busch Stadium, baseball officials decided to postpone Wednesday’s Game 6 of the World Series.
The game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers has been rescheduled for 8:05 p.m. ET Thursday.
Game 7, if necessary, has been scheduled for 8:05 p.m. ET Friday.
The Rangers lead the series 3-2.
“Given the desire to play a game of this magnitude without interruption, and an outlook with better conditions over the next two nights, Major League Baseball, along with the Cardinals and the Rangers, determined that making the decision early would be the most prudent course of action to allow fans enough time to plan accordingly,” the league announced in a statement Wednesday afternoon. link
Not sure who this helps. The Texas Rangers were on a roll. I’d expect some pitching arms will get some much needed rest, and this next game should be a “kitchen sink”, especially for the Cardinals who have to win……or it’s over.

Game 5 was a microcosm of their entire season. Carp goes deep, with no run support and poor defense. He basically willed them into the post-season. Ten and a half back in September, shuts out Astros in final game to send WildCards to NLDS. EPIC 1-0 shutout in Game 5 against his buddy Halladay and the best regular season record, sending his team to NLCS. Goes Beast Mode against Morgan and Brew Crew.
Dives right in first in WS Game 1. Goes deep again in Game 5, but again no run support.
God will delay Game 6, which the Cardinals will win for Carp, and on full rest he will rise once more, go crazy, throw a complete game shutout in Game 7, and lead the Redbirds on another Happy Flight!
What a crazy, beautiful season. Eleven in ’11!
And he still won’t make the HOF.
