Inmate: “Porn-less Prison (Cruel & Unusual) Punishment!”

Kyle Richards is the kind of dummity-dumb bank robber who leaves snowy footprints, drops cash like a trail to his hide-out, and then pleads guilty to the crime. Why?

Maybe so that he could him some tax-payer funded Pornos!

Now take it one step further to understand, not only is he suing for the state to provide him pornographic material, but he is suing the state at the expense of the tax-payers in the state to make his claims.

And if the ACLU has their way… he will win.

Try not to snicker at the references to being “frustrated” in the CNN clip below.

For me it wasn’t an issue, (to snicker or not) because I was overwhelmed with nausea at the thought that we have to put up with this idiocy, largely foisted on us by the perves in our society, many of whom took that first step towards rape, murder, and other felonies–merely because they were users of porn.

But we’re not allowed to say that these days are we?

We’re not allowed to say that some things exploit women, degrade human sexuality, create an “objectification” towards other human beings…

Nope we have to give the guy his latest edition of “Beastiality Monthly” because he claims to have the worst case of “the blues” ever known to human kind, and now its our fault and we have to pay for him to have the right to make his claims in federal court.

I could also live perhaps an entire lifetime before I hear the term “stimulatory irritation” again…

And I also believe strongly that you need to at least consider the assertions I make.

Nauseating is right. Thanks you for unequivocally condemning pornography, which is becoming more and more societally acceptable.

But we’re not allowed to say that these days are we?

I don’t know, but I also don’t see how it’s relevant. This man is also being denied his chance to play violent video games, which are now considered protected. Who the heck cares? He’s in jail. Who cares if porn is good or bad for someone. He still doesn’t get it. It’s a luxury, not a need. The fact that we give them books at all is a privilege that we should be able to take away.

Turn him loose in the showers with Tyrone and the boyz and sex will be the furthest thing from his mind . . .

I’m all for the old Quaker form of incarceration: solitary confinement with instructional literature on character development and self improvement (yes, it was a bible, but we have more things to choose from now).
If it wasn’t cruel and unusual punishment then, it isn’t now.

The ACLU is often the enemy of America.

I expect the guy beheind bars to rattle his cage, but the ACLU should know better than to aid him and make the prison environment less safe for the guards.

No, prisoners shouldn’t have a “right” to porn and if a prison decided to allow it, it should be at the expense of the prisoner.

That said, implying that porn was some how a “gateway” drug to crime is just stupid. It makes the same amount of sense as violent video games making kids violent. Rape and violence were around since before our species existed.

James Dobson tried very hard to make the connection between porn being a “gateway”, when Ted Bundy asked to be interviewed by him. Apparently Bundy came across some X-rated magazines that had been thrown away when he was young…and according to Dobson that eventually turned him into a serial rapist.

But although he made some compelling arguments, I had to come to the conclusion that I did with violent video games and “Dungeons and dragons”: if that was REALLY what made you go over the edge, it was because you had a weak mind that couldn’t keep fantasy and reality apart.

You aren’t a man, are you?

For me it wasn’t an issue, (to snicker or not) because I was overwhelmed with nausea at the thought that we have to put up with this idiocy, largely foisted on us by the perves in our society, many of whom took that first step towards rape, murder, and other felonies–merely because they were users of porn.

As porn has become ubiquitous rape has fallen and so has violent crime. So more porn, less crime might not be correlated but rape and violent crime certainly haven’t risen.

But we’re not allowed to say that these days are we?

You can say it but you’re wrong.

We’re not allowed to say that some things exploit women, degrade human sexuality, create an “objectification” towards other human beings…

Oh please, most humans appreciate beauty. It isn’t degrading to look at someone and find them attractive. So many damn puritans and feminists on this blog.

Nope we have to give the guy his latest edition of “Beastiality Monthly” because he claims to have the worst case of “the blues” ever known to human kind, and now its our fault and we have to pay for him to have the right to make his claims in federal court.

Wow, you had to go there. One glimpse at the Sears cataloge and then next thing your breaking into a farm with a bottle of astroglide.

But although he made some compelling arguments, I had to come to the conclusion that I did with violent video games and “Dungeons and dragons”: if that was REALLY what made you go over the edge, it was because you had a weak mind that couldn’t keep fantasy and reality apart.

And some would govern us according to the weakest minded. Leftists protecting the poor from capitalism and conservatives protecting the weak minded from their desires.

Only when said desires directly harm others; to rephrase an old saw “your desire to throw a punch stops at my nose.”

But in fairness that doesn’t apply to anything I mentioned, except perhaps if your ‘thing’ is kiddie porn.

The problem is when you define harm to others as making someone feel bad. Or some general harm to society and then you end up with prohibition.

The two are hardly equal, though I admit prohibition was implemented disastrously. Completely legalizing or legalizing an industry that big, overnight, on a nationwide scale…not the brightest idea.

I do stand in awe that the American people were ready to legitimately vote to banish Satan’s brew, even though the effort failed. It says a great deal about our moral character – much like the current effort to legalize pot does.
