A Great Day

Last night, the valiant warriors of the United States armed forces marched into a mansion in Pakistan, and ended the bloody and disgusting life of Osama Bin Laden. The last thing he saw was a member of our Special Forces, just before a bullet went through his head. Rumors even swirl that the coward used a woman as a human shield in his last moments.

This was made possible by the fine men and women of our military. All of their sacrifices over the last decade let up to this moment. While some say this is not really a big deal…it is. This was our Hitler. We hungered to see this murderer brought to justice for years. He was the symbol of what we’ve been fighting since that terrible day in September.

It was also made possible by our intelligence community, who used information gleaned from prisoners at Gitmo in tracking down Bin Laden. And yes, it was also made possible by former President George W. Bush, and President Barack Obama. He actually went so far as to turn down the prospect of bombing the place, in favor of going in on the ground and making sure that he spent his final seconds quivering in fear.

Today, some Americans have mixed feelings about what has happened. Some are saying that we shouldn’t be celebrating the death of a human being. Some are arguing over the ramifications of who was in the White House when this happened. Some are making other opinions we disagree with.

Right now, though…you know what’s important? That we are Americans, and we have the right to have those opinions. The man our brave warriors put down last night would have taken that right from us. He would gladly have put us all under the shackles of an Islamic caliphate.

No more. The despicable bastard is dead. God Bless The USA.

I’m not just happy that he is dead. I’m happy that they went in and did it in a personal way rather than from a drone, cruise missile, or laser guided bomb.

I know some people on the extreme left and extreme right are more partisan than patriotic but most of us are proud Americans today.

No surrender. Ever.

Excellent post befitting an excellent day. I’m celebrating tonight, that’s for sure. Buying that flag mount for our front porch just got bumped to the top of the list! So happy.
