One of Terry Jones’ Jurors Confirms It: Muslim Violence Was the Issue

posted at 7:10 pm on April 23, 2011 by

Allahpundit had a nice roundup yesterday of the pre-crime trial of pastor Terry Jones. Today I came across this impromptu interview with one of the jurors in the trial. His name is Daniel Smith and he’s identified as a juror in this clip by a local Fox affiliate. As you’ll hear, free speech in this case definitely took a back seat to concerns over violence, specifically violent reactions from Muslims:

Q: Was the weighing of the free speech question heavily…?

Juror: It was an issue that we talked about but again we were…we were there to really discuss whether it could, uh, provoke a, uh…

Q: Violence?

Juror: Violence in the community.

So free speech was an issue but violence was the important issue. This is absolutely wrong and not how free speech is meant to work in America. Allah calls it the “codification of the heckler’s veto” and that’s exactly what it is. We’ve now located that Mosque Exclusion Zone people were talking about last year. Turns out it’s real in Dearborn, MI where free speech has been excluded from the area around America’s largest mosque for the next three years.

One of Terry Jones’ Juror’s Confirms It: Muslim Violence Was the Issue

Um, no. Cowardice was the issue.

On the bright side I’m sure Terry Jones and his lawyers will be thanking this coward all the way to the bank.

The fact he would admit this publicly is an indication of his inability to reason and understand why the First Amendment should not be scuttled as well as his lack of comprehension of the inevitable consequences of appeasement.

I do not like to see a Jones or Westboro do what they do but, that is what the First Amendment is intended to protect. If we can only say things that everyone agrees with then what good is Free Speech. Free Speech will be lost if “We The People” do not use it. It will sit there and be slowly chipped away if it is not used to say the things others do not want to hear.

If “We The People” act as this Jury did then the Islamic Fundamentalist have already won without firing a shot.

Well we all might as well surrender and convert to Islam now because the last thing we want to do is offend muslims and have them get violent, riot and kill people.

Yup it’s working out great in the mideast-the violence certainly stopped once everyone became muslim. /sarc

Inch by inch the rop type are getting their way here in America with their threats of rage, burning, and killings at the drop of a hat. A sorry state of affairs we are in now for our country!

Show me a country in the West where Islam has been allowed to get a foothold, and tell me how well it’s going there.

Islam isn’t a religion, it’s a form of repressive government, one that is the antithesis of the American Constitution. No Muslim has come to this country to participate in freedom; they are all here to spread the practice of Islam. And lying to hide their true motives is a part of their religion. Don’t doubt it.

Until Americans apre prepared to accept that fact, we have a major problem in the US.

“apre” = “are” (sorry)

Not unless they can move his (Section 1983) civil damages trial out of Michigan where, as this juror proves, even the non-muslim citizens are willing to subvert the U.S. Constitution in order to appease the local immigrant community of violent muslims.

Americans need to ask themselves — and their representatives in the federal government — why we continue to have an immigration policy that aides and encourages the immigration to our country of people who do not share, and will not even respect, our values, our culture, and our laws.

We are paying the Danegeld….we will never be rid of the Dane.

That’s an easy question to answer, though not an easy problem to solve. The liberal philosophy towards Islam can be summed up as: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

They had the opportunity to breathe the breath of citizens into The Constitution and the Constitutional right of free speech and they offered flatulence instead.

Well, to quote the NEA slogan:

“Thank a teacher”

Maybe the Westboro folks could have a protest in Dearborn. I’d like to see how that would play out.

Boy if this attitude was around 30 years ago, their would be no confrontation between the Blues Brothers and the Illinois Nazis.
