One of the Wisconsin Democratic Senator cowards pipes up… UPDATE: Hiding in Rockford?

…and refused to say where he was.
Sen. Jon Erpenbach told WisPolitics this afternoon Senate Dems left the state in an attempt to force Republicans to negotiate a compromise to proposed changes to the bargaining rights of public employees.
Erpenbach would not disclose where he was or how many of the Dem senators were with him. But he said he believed all 14 were already out of state by early this afternoon.
“We were left with no choice,” Erpenbach said.
No choice? You had a choice: vote yes or no, you sniveling coward. Oh, and this line is just golden:
“The question is when are the Republicans going to sit down seriously with the other side on this issue and try to work something out,” Erpenbach said. “When are we going to be reasonable about this and slow things down?”
You know, because jumping on a bus and leaving the state to avoid having to vote on legislation you dislike is completely reasonable. Are they also asking the bus driver to slow down?
Update: Erpenbach has confirmed that all 14 Senate Democrat cowards are together, and WIBA is saying they’re at the Clock Tower Resort in Rockford.

I hope they’re not using government-issued credit cards wherever they are….

Hopefully we will be able to re-call some of these individuals.

Anyone who does this should be deemed to have resigned from office.

Let them use those cards. They can trace the charges and track them down.

Where? Illinois?

It may have the opposite effect and cause the Governor and the GOP to dig in their heels even harder. They can since ‘they won’. Let’s hope.

What a maroon

I don’t see how what the Democrat Senators are doing will endear them to anyone besides their hardcore leftist supporters and they already have them in the bag. Republicans will be disgusted as will most independents.

I thought the bus exodus was a joke when I saw it mentioned earlier today (the image was just too preposterous). Unbelievable cowardice.

We have little choice. It’s become us or them and in the end the ‘us’ are not only the majority we have the most need. Pretty much an invincible combination. If not Wisconsin then somwhere else sooner or later. Has to happen if the rest of us are to survive. Public sector unions have become insupportable, bottom line.

Remind me again… Which party has all those evil “obstructionists” who keep the government from getting anything done?

Fire them all! The teachers who took the day off, the teachers who took their kids out of class to join the protest, and start recall petitions agains ALL of the missing dems. That ought to get their attention.

If they can keep them out of the state for 30 days they will no longer be resident, and therefore no long eligible to be members of the legislator.

The “Killer D’s” left Texas to avoid a vote—see what good it did them

They’d better hang onto that bus. Once they realize this can only backfire horribly on them they’re going to need it to toss each other under.

Wanna bet they max out their per diem and claim the money they spent on this junket as a tax writeoff?
