Dissent is, er, what?

Man, I must be growing old. I remember a time, lo these many years ago (about 2, in fact) when dissent was not only patriotic, but indeed the very highest, the ultimate, form of patriotism. Or so I was told, incessantly, by those at the time who were themselves engaging in dissent.

Time flies. Now we are told that dissent is sedition. Well goodness; I guess I’ll have to stop doing that!

I guess I must ask my betters for my opinion. (Which, if they wanted it, they would give it to me.) Let me give it a try:

“Obama is the bestest, most wise, most compassionate President ever (not to mention being a great lover and a snappy dresser) and is truly a Blessing from God given to us to save us from our own sins. Well, or he would be a Blessing from God except that God is a myth used to sustain the Patriarchy. But moving right along: Everything he has done is uttterly perfect, and will lead us to a new golden age of equality, comfort, and self respect for everyone who isn’t a white male. And I truly mean it! I shall prostrate myself at his feet, except that the Secret Service would never let me near him.”

How was that?

Is it time for us to start saying, “ARE YOU QUESTIONING MY PATRIOTISM?”

And he is so good taking charge of things like oil spills … and job formation, and … well lets just stop right there.

Tarpon, you’re obviously a traitor and a racist. For shame!

Silly Rabbit……………

Dissent is only Patriotism when the dissent is from the Left against the Right.

Except not phrased in the form of a question, because they’re much more upfront and unapologetic about it than they think anyone on our side ever was.

Ah, the “Clinton Principle” – if you are the party out of power it is patriotic to protest and debate (Hillary). But when you are the party in power it is inflammatory and dangerous to dissent (Bill). How I so love the twisted logic of liberals.
