Can We Get Back To Talking About Lying Politicians?

Can we get back to Richard Blumenthal.

Remember him? The DEMOCRATIC candidate for Senate whose multiple lies about serving in Vietnam over the course of multiple years dominated an entire 24 hour news cycle.

The guy whose dissembling of his own words was Clintonesque in the extreme, as in “it depends upon what the meaning of ‘in’ is.”

The guy around whom DEMOCRATS are rallying so strongly you’d think he had abused an intern.

The guy for whom it was not enough to be an academic and political superstar, he had to be a war hero as well.

The guy who was rescued when Rand Paul discussed, quite honestly, the dilemma of balancing individual freedom of association and speech with the need for racial equality and non-discrimination.

Can we please get back to talking about politicians who look you straight in the eye and lie?

The big question is what are the people in Connecticut talking about, because they’re the ones who in the end are going to decide Blumenthal’s fate.

Several new examples of Richard ‘mis-speaking’ have been turned up over the last few days by smaller Connecticut papers in the wake of the original New York Times story. Those papers may only circulate in limited areas of the state, but put together, they set a narrative that out-of-state voters may not be hearing because of Rand Paul (or Friday’s big political squabble, the Texas Textbook vote), but it’s something Blumenthal will have to deal with for the next five months.

During the Rand Paul thing, Richard Blumenthal is alleged to have commandeered a bulldozer and leveled a cherry tree orchard. People for Richard Blumenthal say he only picked a couple pieces of fruit from one tree while on a test drive for a purchase he was considering from the local CASE dealer.

I can’t help myself. I can’t automatically say or read Rand. Too used to R and D – helluva dichotomy…

Might as well toss Brown into the mix. He can’t seem to make up his mind who he works for, the people of his state or Dingy Harry. Don’t understand why after all these years Blumenthal had to claim he served in VN. Must be the little man syndrome.

You mean like the Pathological Liar-in-Chief, Barack Hussein Obama?
