Joe Biden: Iraq Could Be “One Of The Great Achievements Of The Obama Administration”

From Say Anything:

Joe Biden on Larry King Live: “I am very optimistic about—about Iraq. I mean, this could be one of the great achievements of this administration. You’re going to see 90,000 American troops come marching home by the end of the summer.

You’re going to see a stable government in Iraq that is actually moving toward a representative government. I spent—I’ve been there 17 times now. I go about every two months—three months. I know every one of the major players in all the segments of that society.

It’s impressed me. I’ve been impressed how they have been deciding to use the political process rather than guns to settle their differences.”

Way to go Joe!  Can you list some more of Bush’s achievements for your “articulater in Chief”?

UPDATE:  This isn’t really “breaking news”— The Boss posted this story three hours ago.

UPDATE TWO:  ”Breaking News” correction / clarification: Rob at Say Anything posted this story yesterday—February 10, 2010 at 06:46 pm—-which I found via google.   Thanks to Rob for bringing this to my attention.

UPDATE THREE:  Ed Gruberman says:

“Are you kidding me? Seriously? Really? After 8 years of hard fought battles, deaths, elections, suicide bombers and American Troops sent by George “Yes in fact we do miss you” Bush, he’s going to take credit for anything at all? Wasn’t it Obama that didn’t want the surge? Wasn’t it Murtha who said the Marines killed in cold blood? Wasn’t it Reed who said “The WAR IS LOST?”.

How the flying hell does even Gratuitous Gaffe Biden work this one into a power play by Obama….?

Gotta give Clueless Joe a break here. When he opens his mouth even he doesn’t know what’s coming out.

I blame Bush.

Well of course this could be one of the greatest achievements of the democrat party 2nd only to South Vietnam.

LBJ increased involvement to half a million troops, provoked mass street demonstrations and it was President Nixon who was the villain. Nixon gave the left everything they wanted and they hated him for it, drove Nixon out of office. Then the democrats refused to supply South Vietnam with the resources they would need to remain free from the north, ignored the refugees, and blamed Nixon for it.

So in Iraq, the democrats succeeded in vilifying Bush, obstructing and sabotaging everything he did, and Bush was the villain. Once some semblance of stability appears in Iraq, Obama takes all the credit for it. That is a stunning achievement, obstruct, sabotage, discredit, and get the credit for the success. Truly amazing.

Of course, if the area explodes later, it won’t be the fault of the democrats.

Plan A: Blame Bush for the bad stuff we help happen and take credit for the good stuff that came due to Bush’s policies.

Obama better play this one conservatively(I know, fat chance). He can claim credit for the troops coming home, but if he in any way tries to give himself props for the success of the surge, even the media will rip him a new one for his hypocrisy.

Wow. This is great news following the news I heard last week: Obama managed to push for the Moon landing that John Kennedy got credit for. Who knew?

I’ve run into liberals all the time Robert, that also claim Bill Clinton was responsible for the Balanced Budget Amendment that finally produced the surplus. They really seem to forget Gingrich and his posse who wrote the legislation.

No, he can’t claim anything for troops coming home from Iraq. Bush had that agreement with the Iraqi Gov BEFORE he left office. The drawdown was to be finished by 2011. Obama didn’t do one damned thing concerning Iraq but whine against Bush.

Positive proof that liberalism is a mental disease. Progressive in its development culminating with the “mind of a child syndrome”. The constant lies and deceptions become so easy that the purveyor loses their complete concept of reality. Biden and Barry were both so vehement against the surge that to now accept reponsibility for its success that the only plausibe reason has to be insanity.
