If Scott Brown is getting them all hot and bothered in DC…

… then wait until they get a hold of Adam Kinzinger. He’s an officer in the Air Force Reserves, and is a hero on and off the battlefield. Check out his bio:

In 2003, Adam joined the United States Air Force. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in November 2003 and later awarded his pilot wings. Captain Kinzinger has served in the Air Force Special Ops, Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command, and Air National Guard.

Captain Kinzinger has been recognized for his efforts both in an out of uniform. In 2007, he received the United States Air Force Airman’s Medal for saving the life of a young woman who was violently attacked. Despite the likelihood that he too would be stabbed, Adam wrestled the knife away from the attacker and pinned him to the ground until the police arrived. He was also awarded the National Guard’s Valley Forge Cross for Heroism and was selected as the Southeastern Wisconsin American Red Cross Hero of the Year.

He’s done five tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. He’s also done missions on the southern border in the war on drugs. He’s a fiscal conservative who believes in free-market capitalism and small government. He’s advocating a freeze on all non-defense spending immediately. He’s also pro-life and a member of the NRA.

Oh, and here’s what he looks like:

Scott who? I’m pretty sure everyone’s going to be forgetting about that Cosmo spread once they start salivating over this guy.

He’s trying to defeat Debbie Halvorson. He’s also trying to raise $11k by February 10th, a very achievable goal. Maybe we can all help him out by throwing a few bucks in? Every last little bit counts, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who would like to see Captain Kinzinger take Halvorson’s place in the House.

Laura W was dripping down her thigh over at Ace’s over this guy too.

If what you say about his character is true, then he could be 4’6″ 315lbs and I’d vote for him.

And I don’t think his website is “electadamn.com” under your first hyperlink. Try electadam.com

Cap & Trade

I support taking measured, sensible steps to ensure that our environment is protected but not at the cost of our economic prosperity and especially not during uncertain economic times like we are experiencing now. The United States has some of the strictest emission policies in the world but when you start penalizing companies with job-killing regulations like Cap and Trade does, we will only force industries to leave the U.S. to a country with far lesser or no environmental standards, which will ultimately be far worse for the environment. I would have opposed the Cap and Trade legislation and would have called on my colleagues in Congress to work toward a fair, bi-partisan reasonable approach in protecting our environment.

This guy uses logic too.

This is a load of crap, but it’s what politicians have to say.

We already have a bi-partisan, reasonable approach to protecting the environment. It’s called the EPA. It’s just that under this Administration, the EPA is neither bi-partisan, or reasonable.

“We already have a bi-partisan, reasonable approach to protecting the environment. It’s called the EPA.”

Hogwash!! The EPA is a bunch of enviromental wackos, it should be disbanded and all of its officers thrown in jail for attempting to regulate the US out of existence. What’s that little fish called out in California, the one in the San Joaquin Valley that’s stopping the farmers out there from getting water to their fields? Maybe some of the policies coming out of the EPA are good but the majority of their garbage hurts the U.S.

His resume is exciting enough, but Kinzinger is a stone fox. I’ve got a feeling that when he wins, SNL will be kicking themselves for wasting their Jon Hamm sketch on Scott Brown.

Wow, Adam is a good looking hero! Good luck Adam, hope you win your election. We sure need more like you running for office.

Maybe I should have been more clear. The original intent of the EPA was bi-partisan and reasonable. However it has been hijacked by the enviromentalists.

By the way, Cassy, if you are compiling a list of promising (and attractive) young Republicans you might want to look at the UFC’s Chael Sonnen.

From MMAWeekly.com

(I tried to link but it can’t make it work.)

Chael Sonnen took a page out of Team Quest teammate Matt Lindland’s book and threw his name in the hat for local politics.

“I have officially announced my candidacy for District 37 in Oregon for the House of Representatives,” Sonnen told MMAWeekly.com.

Running as a Republican, the preliminary election for the seat takes place in May and the general election in November.

“(The position is) currently held by a Republican, and he’s vacating the seat to run for the U.S. Fifth Congressional District,” said Sonnen. “I was recruited by the party to fill his seat, but there hasn’t been any polling yet. We’re three weeks in.”

When Lindland ran for public office his opponent used his fighting background against him in television ads. Asked if he’s concerned about getting the same treatment, Sonnen said, “It sure does (make it more difficult). I don’t steer into it. I hide from it. I don’t go out and brag about being a meathead that gets in a cage and beats people up that he has no problem with.

“I hide from the fact,” added the Team Quest trained athlete. “When it comes up I have to address it, but I focus a lot more on running business, college and education, and things like that.

“It will come up, but everything will. I’ll bring stuff up on the other guy too. It goes both ways.”

Sonnen says a win in November wouldn’t have any affect on his mixed martial arts career.

“Nothing would change,” said the 32-year-old fighter. “I would just continue fighting.

“It won’t change anything. I practice for three hours a day now, and I’ll practice three hours a day then,” added Sonnen. “I’ve got friends that spend more time on golf than that.”

Sonnen has the full support of the UFC in his political aspirations in Oregon.

“Dana (White) contributed to the campaign,” said the newly minted candidate.
