No one with any common sense hangs around a shady used-car lot after the hard-charging salesman calls them an idiot for refusing to accept a deal whose details he refuses to discuss, for a clunker he won’t let them test-drive.

Best line.

She hasn’t had the nads to tell Obama that at this point, she can’t pass gas on this bill in the house. Things are falling apart for Nancy. The cats are scattering and she can’t herd them anymore.

This is only the beginning, folks. Expect every dirty trick and devious maneuver in the book to be employed in order for these charlatans to attempt to get their poison pill of a bill passed.

Do not take your eyes off of the ball for a second. This is hardball and this is for keeps.

The GOP is far better positioned to win those battles than the Democrats, because they understand their enemy.

Ah, but do they really? Are they beginning to get a clue? I wonder.

Exactly - and here's the problem:

Could be, but I prefer to think HE DOESN’T HAVE THE VOTES!

Rather than admit defeat, that hes’ a weak, neutered Lame Duck who cannot even win an election in MASSACHUSETTS he takes the high road.
When has Pinnochio EVER takin the high road?
If he had the votes he’d be rubbin our noses in it.

I agree with you 100% that he doesn't have the votes. Where we differ in opinion is that he thinks he needs a dem vote in the Senate. We've all seen the reports on the web of Nancy saying essentially that Obamacare will pass. She hasn't had the nads to tell Obama that at this point, she can't pass gas on this bill in the house. Things are falling apart for Nancy. The cats are scattering and she can't herd them anymore.

If Obama came out this quickly saying not to rush Obamacare until Brown is seated, he turned Voinovich. I don’t think it will help him much with the current state in the House, but he didn’t make this statement because he suddenly had a change of heart.

Dick Morris thinks they will pass the Senate version in the House but it will take time for Nancy and Pinnochio to herd enough cats to do so.

As the clock ticks Nov. gets closer. How many Dems will willingly give up their seats for the lifelong dream of con trolling your healthcare and 1/6th of the U.S. economy. How many will dare return home?

Ask Ben Nelson, TRAITOR D. NE how Home feels the day after!

The tea partiers may know who their enemy is, but I’m thinking that many in the GOP are in the same arrogant state as the Donks.

Christian Conservative on January 20, 2010 at 7:23 PM

The Tea Party is not Repub or Democrat the Tea Party is populist. It is for the common working men and women to take their country back and throw out the professional panderers and career politicians who are almost all corrupt or deaf to the common mans desires.

You named some Repubs that need to go in order to change the system and take our country back.

“The Republicans have chosen their path: they are doing the bidding of insurance companies, just as they’re going to do with big banks as it relates to financial reform.

Hmm. Isn't it ObamaCare, crafted with absolutely no input from Republicans, that will make insurance company stock shoot through the roof? And isn't it the Democrats who stuffed all that money into the banks for absolutely no return?

All day today they spun the MA loss as the people are still angry about the policies of the Bush era. I smiled each time I heard it because it illustrates how much they value themselves and their agenda - while holding US in disdain.

Assemble we will, quietly and deliberately, and they will never see us coming.

Then there is Voinovich who may Specter out on us before he leaves while he is having private talks with Obama.

I'm sorry, but I don't trust a dem, much less The One. If Obama came out this quickly saying not to rush Obamacare until Brown is seated, he turned Voinovich. I don't think it will help him much with the current state in the House, but he didn't make this statement because he suddenly had a change of heart.

The truth is that Americans understand what the Democrats have been doing, all too well. They are recoiling from an agenda presented with the urgency, secrecy, and speed of a con job. No one with any common sense hangs around a shady used-car lot after the hard-charging salesman calls them an idiot for refusing to accept a deal whose details he refuses to discuss, for a clunker he won’t let them test-drive.

socialists always blame election defeats on:
(a) the voters not in lock-step with us are stupid; or
(b) we didn't get our message across properly.

You will notice socialists never consider the more likely 3rd alternative:

(c) the voters got your message loud and clear; they understood it perfectly, whereupon they rejected it soundly.

The GOP is far better positioned to win those battles than the Democrats, because they understand their enemy.

Not so sure of that, Doc. Depends on how you define the GOP. Grahamnesty still chides his constiuents. Snowe still thumbs her nose occasionally at conservatives. Then there is Voinovich who may Specter out on us before he leaves while he is having private talks with Obama. McCain still wants to reach across the aisle. Even Coburn talks about being good friends with Obama (while the rest of us are in counter-revolutionary mode). The Florida and California governors are often allies of Obama. Gingrich wants Climate Change legislation. Romney signed Obamacare into law in MA. And then there's Steele who will chide Rush Limbaugh and have to apologize for it. And a final example, Scozofava (sp?) gets the Margaret Sanger award and gets put on the ballet by the local GOP!
The tea partiers may know who their enemy is, but I'm thinking that many in the GOP are in the same arrogant state as the Donks.

Doc,
Reading your words, makes me smarter! The reaction today from the "enemy" would be comical if it weren't so serious. Obama telling his congress, "Don't jam this thing through!" That's like Clinton telling others don't cheat on your spouse. When they turn on each other, they not only don't know who their enemy is, they certainly don't even know themselves. My question is always, are they stupid or just evil?

The irony is delicious but it’s closely and quickly followed by a stronger sentiment — astonishment.

Okay, here’s the deal.

The Obama campaign ran on an operative theme of “style” over “substance.” That was the design. That was the plan. Same with Deval Patrick, same with Barack Obama. The Axelrod paradigm and campaign strategy.

Okay. It worked. At least in getting the man elected.

Now…. they’re SHOCKED that people don’t stick with them when the style is “out of style” or simply loses it’s sheen? They (the same people) are shocked that people are recoiling from their actual policies?

They think they had a “mandate” to enact their policies?

The Obama campaign had virtually nothing to do with policy. Most of his policies in the end consisted of “What she said” in parroting Hillary Clinton.

And, NOW they’re shocked? At what? That people actually bought the crap sandwich they were sold?

Odd. Alice. Curioser and Curioser.

No one with any common sense hangs around a shady used-car lot after the hard-charging salesman calls them an idiot for refusing to accept a deal whose details he refuses to discuss, for a clunker he won’t let them test-drive.

Anthony Weiner explained the stunning repudiation of the Obama agenda by saying “Most Americans don’t realize what we’re trying to do.”

I don't really understand how he can say this when he has 3 major networks, and two cable networks that work as the health care propaganda machine.
