The fix isn’t in

For a few minutes, the Boston Globe posted the result of today’s election. Then they noticed, and took it down. Their hypothetical result was Coakley 50%, Brown 49%, Kennedy 1%, with Coakley the winner.

Suppose, just suppose, that tonight or tomorrow, once all the votes have been counted, it is announced that the result is Coakley 50, Brown 49, Kennedy 1? Think there’d be riots in Massachusetts?

Blowback

Maybe we should invite Iranians to help out?

They will just alter it a bit. It has to be more than a .5% win for Coakley, or there will be a recount, so it will more likely have her at 50.6% or higher.

What is it that you’re trying to say here; Mookie hits a ground ball to Buckner and he fields it, steps on first base and the umpire calls safe?

I guess it depends on how much the citizens of Mass will put up with politically do they want to be citizens of Massachusetts or citizens of Massachusettes?

Well, the makings of a great conspiracy theory have been slain by a pleasant fact: Brown won.

But I had this tinfoil-hat idea going of some secret Brown supporter at the Globe discovering the plot, and “accidentally” revealing the fixed total ahead of time to prevent it from being used. MWAAhaahaa!!!

Moar cowbells

MIT did a study a few years back and concluded that tinfoil- hats do not block radio waves used by the military. Just Sayin.
