Scott Brown moneybomb today: help red invade blue

[ Elections ]

Today is the big day: the moneybomb for Scott Brown’s election to the Senate. The goal is to raise $500,000 in one day; right now, they’re just short of $300,000. Michelle is reporting that the DNC is sending reinforcements to Massachusetts for Martha Coakley. The Democratic machine is in motion; this is our chance to stop them. Democrats see this as their seat, as the Kennedy seat. Scott Brown is getting no support from the GOP establishment — this is a grassroots movement alone. So basically, he needs support from all of us.

Some people are saying he’s a RINO Republicans; that may or may not be true. We don’t have to choose between supporting Marco Rubio and Scott Brown, though. And supporting Marco Rubio — which I wholeheartedly support, by the way — will not help stop Obamacare. He won’t be elected in time, if he even is. But we can help elect Scott Brown next week, making him the 41st vote against the bill and stopping it in its tracks. If he isn’t a true conservative, it isn’t like we couldn’t find someone to run against him in the primary and take his place. Scott Brown is our best shot at stopping the filibuster-proof majority that Harry Reid is currently enjoying — yet some people to argue that we should not support him because he may not be conservative enough is absurd. You might as well cut off your nose to spite your face. Stopping Obamacare — and the inevitable litany of socialist legislation that Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are sure to continue to try to pass — is the most important thing we can do right now. Scott Brown will help us to do that. And he needs our support.

Help get him elected. Help the red invade a blue state. Donate today.

UPDATE: We’ve exceeded the $500,000 goal, but that’s no reason to stop donating. The Brown campaign needs all the help it can get. It will take every last cent to overthrow the Democrat establishment. Keep it up!

The GOP should get as much support from the folks, as they are giving to Scott Brown.

When those solicitation letters from Michael Steele come in the mail, send them back with only a note telling them you are supporting them like they supported ___________, fill in the blank with your favorite candidate.

478k now, and it’s only just past noon on the west coast. They’ll make a million before the sun sets on Hawaii.

Agreed.

I have a bad feeling about November. Since there’s no way to field “pure” candidates for the Republican ticket, I have a terrible feeling that once again we’ll snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

This post should be pinned in the headlines on this site or promoted to front page. They are up over $530,000.00 right now (4:25 p.m. EST).

Let’s help Scott double his goal – get to $1,000,000.00 by midnight!!!

I should point out that the Democrats are openly admitting that if Brown wins they will delay certifying the win until February 20.

The Boston Herald said

The U.S. Senate ultimately will schedule the swearing-in of Kirk’s successor, but not until the state certifies the election.

Friday, a spokesman for Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin, who is overseeing the election but did not respond to a call seeking comment, said certification of the Jan. 19 election by the Governor’s Council would take a while.

“Because it’s a federal election,” spokesman Brian McNiff said. “We’d have to wait 10 days for absentee and military ballots to come in.”

Another source told the Herald that Galvin’s office has said the election won’t be certified until Feb. 20 – well after the president’s address.

Since the U.S. Senate doesn’t meet again in formal session until Jan. 20, Bay State voters will have made their decision before a vote on health-care reform could be held. But Kirk and Galvin’s office said Friday a victorious Brown would be left in limbo.

It is totally absurd to get on a high horse and call Brown a RINO then act like an eeyore and refuse to vote for the Republican candidate.

What is more important? Putting in the person who will vote against abominationcare? Or staying home and letting the one who will rubber stamp every abominable piece of legislation?

Being purist is really nonsense it is just an excuse to do nothing… and by doing nothing the status quo will be retained.

There is a good chance to defeat what is a very pathetic candidate… someone who has a record of not standing for natural justice… and those who are being called to vote need to get off their butts on polling day to cast that vital vote.

Do not let Martha Coakley win this election. She is just more of the same corruption.

I chipped in a pittance from Indiana. I hope they go over a million….

Finished at over $1.1 million. I don’t know why anyone should oppose Scott Brown. He is independent but loves the USA – - that’s better than towing a party line. I’d rather support someone who isn’t bought.
