I heard today that the “big plan” to pass immigration reform is to call us all RACISTS for not going along with it.
The only problem with that is that they have gone to that well too many times now and it no longer works!

Heh. Didn’t work when Republican higher ups tried that tactic. Can’t think why it’ll work with the Dems.

It’s almost funny. As Ziegler pointed out, a percentage of voters pulled the lever for Obama because they wanted to have the first non-White President. Historic.
Continuing to call these voters “racist” won’t work as well; they’ve “proven” to themselves that they’re not racists…
It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out over the next decade. Perhaps we can get closer to Martin Luther King Jr.’s goal of judging people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. I can hope, anyway.
