About that 3:00 am Call

I can scarcely believe I’m uttering these words but here goes: Hillary Clinton was right. The 3:00 call she predicted would come came. It was on Christmas, and no one was home — literally and figuratively. Barack Obama was 6,000 miles away from the White House, but no matter. There hasn’t been a real occupant of the White House for a year now. Instead we’ve had in effect a child dressing up in his father’s too-big clothes, strutting and posturing, bowing and apologizing, instead of running a country.
His initial response to the there-but-for-the-grace-of-God outcome of an attempt by a Nigerian terrorist to murder 300 innocent people was silence. In Obama’s world, nothing happened — no harm, no foul — so there was no need to interrupt his vacation. But then the person he chose to play Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, spoke up, revealing her own naivete (and his in selecting her for this job for which she is singularly and spectacularly ill-equipped), and all hell broke loose. Obama was forced to appear in front of the TV cameras and make a statement. And then another statement, as the American people began to respond to their own wakeup call, realizing that the country had dodged a big bullet no thanks to Obama or Napolitano (who had already begun walking back her story).
So how bad is it for Team Obama? Judge for yourself. Today’s MSM opinion headlines are a pretty good barometer of the nation’s mood. The headline from Ruth Marcus in the Washington Post: “Red Flags Waved — And Ignored.” From the ever-flip Maureen Dowd at the New York Times: “As the Nation’s Pulse Races, Obama Can’t Seem to Find His.” But it gets even worse, when you reach the last line of her op-ed: Heck of a job, Barry.
Put somewhat differently, it’s easy to call Dick Cheney Darth Vader and George W. Bush a cowboy when no one’s spitting on your lawn. Let Al Qaeda launch a loogie that narrowly misses its target, and suddenly — grudgingly — even the most diehard socialist loses that smirk of assured confidence in a leader who knows better, who promises he’ll sweet talk the Islamofascist beast into submission.
In order to escape with his political life, Obama needs to offer up a sacrifice. And in this case, the call is an easy one. Janet Napolitano: Say hello to the underside of the bus. You can tell she’s already gone, because Obama has released a statement indicating that her job is secure. The timing on this is also easy. My guess is that she will tender her resignation at precisely the stroke of midnight on December 31st.
But her head isn’t the one the American people should be content to see on a pike this time. There is a cancer on the White House, to borrow a well-worn coinage. The tumor is as aggressive as it appears outwardly benign to observers on the left. And unless it is excised soon, next time we may not be so lucky.

The problem is that we have “Plugs” Biden as the veep and Nancy (Stretch) Pelosi as Majority Leader. We would need to have the Republicans get the majority in the House, and then have both Obama and Biden resign and that might not be enough. I wonder if Biden resigns, (like Agnew did) and Obama gets Joe Lieberman to take on the Vice President job (lik Gerald Ford did) and then Obam could resign. At least the country my be able to survive until the 2012 election.

I’ve been saying for a while that I still respect the OFFICE of the president, mainly because he never spends any time in it.

Okay, I’m even going to creep myself out with this thought:
When you think on all that God has done to offer warning and guidance to the leaders of men throughout history, you realize that he always offered warnings and opportunities for a change of direction. I’m by no means theological or evangelical, but even the least faithful of us have to realize that God tested this president with a Christmas Day miracle. He protected the lives of 300 individuals, in the hopes that this president would open his eyes to the evil in this world… sadly, obama appears to remain blind and the lesson and the miracle have been wasted on one who lacks faith in God or his fellow man… I’m not sure that God will deliver another miracle to our nation.

I still remember friends asking me how with my hatred for Billy Clinton, I could still go to ugly places and do ugly things while a member of the special ops community in the 90′s. I tried to explain respect for the office not the man. Few understood. I find myself today, looking back and knowing had Obambi launched me into today’s hotspots I would find it far too easy to say “F*** off”. No respect for the “fundamental transformation” of our great country he is orchestrating and failing respect for the office as a whole. I’m really confused as to why the ’52 percenters’ can’t see it.

Joe: I hear what you’re saying. Thank you, btw, for your service to our country. I hope we can win it back.

Obama likes the perqs of office but he doesn’t like doing the job. He thinks nothing of jetting off to some distant part of the world to apologize for America or attend a party but he refuses to address the real issues here at home. He’s put aside almost all issues but healthcare reform because he sees that as his legacy. He and his organization have virtually ignored unemployment other than to tell us “the stimulus is working” despite all evidence to the contrary.
This terrorism attempt should be a 3am wake-up call for the American people. The Christmas attempt and the Fort Hood shootings are connected through Al Qaeda and instead of taking the threats seriously, the President went golfing and the DHS Secretary made the claim that the system was running perfectly. This does not inspire confidence in this adminstration.

Napolitano is inexperienced for her position with DHS and she created a horrible mess in AZ as governor. I don’t believe she acted on her own when she said the system worked because Gibbs was out making similar comments. I think the playboy Prez – or the man behind the curtain – told them what to say. If Obama staffed his administration with experienced people, instead of campaign paybacks, there might have been a better effort to prevent the terrorist from boarding the flight. Thank God those people survived – definitely a Christmas miracle!

Sad part is, Obama keeps his job for years no matter how bad he sucks. All we can do is wipe out his socialist Congress in 2010 and hope somebody creates jobs somewhere.

The first step we need to protect and save this country from our enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC is eradication of Political [un]Correctness.
It does nothing but prevent free, open, and productive debate. The PC, of political [un]correctness, only enhances and encourages the most evil PC – Political Corruption.
If somebody’s feelings are hurt because we take measure to protect ourselves, in some case from ourselves, that is really their problem. The quote-unquote victims should consider themselves lucky if their primary problem is hurt feelings. Who among us has not had their feelings hurt; yet somehow survived without massive nanny state federal intervention?

He can’t recognize evil because he is evil. Hillary is still trying to figure out how to reset the reset button. We have no one watching our backs or fronts and will have to protect ourselves until 2012. I’m still amazed that people still think so highly of Clinton after everything she’s done. Guess paying off her campaign debt was not really stealing from the American people.

Wouldn’t Giggles actually have to be in the White House in order for a cancer to be there?
Someone needs to put together a graph showing time spent in the WH vs time spent away from it (if it hasn’t already been done).

Hawaii is such a nice, quiet place. Nobody bugging you about terrorists or deficits or unemployment. When being President is not at all like you thought it would be, Hawaii is a great getaway from reality. Even though it costs a fortune for Obama to stay there, it’s probably cheaper for the American taxpayer in the long run.
