The challenge of freedom and capitalism declares that sacrificing the chance for brilliance, to reduce the possibility of failure, is a foolish bargain that leads only to decay.

Oustanding thought. This is the genesis of the free market creed. The brilliance of the few benefit the many. Class warfare always seeks to use the many to suppress the few, through taxation, regulation, and outright demonization. This always has the effect of harming the many whose improving standards of living relied upon our brilliant few. As Sarah Palin said, this a backassward way of running an economy. The role of government is solely to protect this nation’s prosperity, freedom, and great institutions from tyranny. Thank you again Doctor Zero of reminding us of our nation’s economic creed.

One of the main ingredients missing from the entire cadre’ of liberal politicians resume’s is leadership. This coincidentally is one of the main ingredients missing from the toolbelt of unsuccessful businesspersons. It is one thing to have a vision that could lead to any definition of success. It is entirely another to have been sprinkled with that Pixie Dust necessary to lead others on a mission to achieve the desired result. Whether it is the top leader or another in the chain of command, leadership absolutely will determine the outcome.

Although needless to say, Obama, the Senate, the Congress, many state leaders, all seem to have none of the leadership skills necessary to pull off any of their package of proposals for Hopenchange.

Another tool from the belt is a curiosity. Leaders must be curious. This primal urge must be strong in a leader, strong enough for them to seek the truth of any situation so as to be prepared to meet demands in an unpredictable environment. This curiosity will lead them to want to understand all the implications of their actions, future trends, the nature of the people around them, the curiosity that will lead them to listen to divergent opinions, knowing that new and better ideas can come from any quarter at any time, even from totally unexpected sources and angles.

Washington seems bereft of leadership and curiosity. Plenty of charisma, plenty of money, plenty of corruption. The results of their “leadership” of this country to this time reflect their shortcomings well.

We don’t want to.

We are the same people who split the atom, defeated the Axis, rebuilt Europe, planted our flag on the Moon, and threw down the Iron Curtain. We stand on the same land that nourished the dreams of our grandfathers with wheat, corn, oil, and coal. We are the authors of a radiant web of knowledge that encircles the world. We are the greatest enemies that War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death have ever faced.

Step aside, Mr. Obama. We can do this.

We don’t need more speeches, meetings, and reckless deficit spending. It’s time for Democrats to admit the truth – painful to them, exhilarating and a bit frightening to the rest of us: Government can’t fix this. Only the free citizens of the United States can. It’s time for government to get out of the way, and let us get to work.

If Barack Obama truly wanted to help the economy, and reduce unemployment, he would stop giving endless speeches that only reinforce his image as a man who has no idea what he is doing, but is relentlessly determined to do it.
