Does Shep owe Joe the Plumber an apology?

posted at 9:55 pm on November 18, 2009 by

Shep Smith was astonished that Joe the Plumber said a vote for Obama is a vote for the death of Israel. After all, Shep insisted, “Barack Obama has said repeatedly, time after time that there is nothing more important than the United States’ friendship with Israel and that the United States will back up Israel every moment of every day if and when he becomes President of the United States.”

Joe expressed skepticism based on Obama’s past anti-Israel associations, and his willingness to meet unconditionally with Israel’s enemies and let them dictate terms to him, and encouraged people to look into it themselves instead of taking his word for it.

Shep wrapped up the interview with this statement:

I just want to make this 100% perfectly clear. Barack Obama has said repeatedly and demonstrated repeatedly that Israel will always be a friend of the United States no matter what happens once he becomes President of the United States. His words. The rest of it… man… some things, it just gets frightening sometimes.

Thanks for clearing that up for us, Shep.  It’s pretty scary stuff, telling people to go do some research for themselves.  And hey, Shep’s concerns about hateful things spread out over the internet have certainly been borne out.

Like Obama giving Palestinian snipers a moral victory by labeling half of Israel’s capital a “settlement.”

Nominating Chas Freeman to chair the National Intelligence Council.

Awarding Mary Robinson, who served as Secretary-General at the wildly anti-Semitic World Conference Against Racism,  the Medal of Freedom.

Planning to appoint an anti-semitism czar who has been criticized by the Anti-Defamation League.

Letting Iran walk all over him on the path to nuclear capability.

That Joe, what a nut!  I can certainly see why Shep was so frightened.

Yes.

I usually turn down the sound when Shep is on – he’s good eye candy, but other than that…

Shep is a MSM liberal, just like the rest of them.
A seminal moment(pardon the pun) for Shep in my eyes was when FNC was set up outside the arena in Minneapolis St.Paul covering the RNC convention and the news broke about McCain’s running mate.
Shep was just as incredulous as the rest of the tools were around the other networks.
“How could you guys have bypassed US, those who interrogate candidates for the people?”
He must have asked 8 or 9 different GOP consultants and party reps, “how could you do this to America, I don’t know who this person is! Is she qualified?” Just like the rest of them.
When Obama and McCain were headed to Ole Miss to debate, he went all “racial justice” for days on end, practically had an Obamagasm right there on the set.
He is a white guilt ridden Dixie liberal bent on political correctness being enforced at all times, unless you are an exempted minority.
When you add this to his previous spectacle in New Orleans, I had enough of Shep.
Can’t stand him anymore.

Brian72, that is the best wrap on sissy Shep that I have seen. Whenever I hear the Shep i turn off the tube! Cannot stand this guy, matter of fact, I can’t stand a lot of the carpetbagger or native lefty’s that have infested the South.

Shep’s idiocy about blocking people from walking over the bridge from New Orleans to Gretna post-Katrina still makes me mad. There was nothing in Gretna for those people; no relief, no supplies, no shelter, nothing. Well, nothing but a mall which the people who did get across the bridge looted and pointlessly burned, and which is still not completely re-opened. Instead of him and Geraldo getting their panties in a knot about post-Katrina chaos, they could have, you know, found out some facts about who/where/when/what help was available and spread the word. Instead the Drama Queen Twins unhelpfully ranted.

Good news for me. My local CBS now runs Judge Judy when Shep is on. Color me happy. Seriously, anything is better than Shep.

Does Shep owe JTP an apology?

Yes.

Will it ever happen?

No.

Shep is an arrogant nitwit who is as gullible as they come if he believes everything he hears from Jug-eared Jesus.
