The Funniest Quote In Some Time

John Hinderaker at Powerline features a quote from the NY Times’s review of Sarah Palin’s book that is worth repeating:

Mr. McCain’s astonishing decision to pick someone with so little experience (less than two years as the governor of Alaska, and before that, two terms as mayor of Wasilla, a town with fewer than 7,000 residents) as his running mate and Ms. Palin’s own surprisingly nonchalant reaction to Mr. McCain’s initial phone call about the vice president’s slot (she writes that it felt “like a natural progression”) underscore just how alarmingly expertise is discounted — or equated with elitism — in our increasingly democratized era, and just how thoroughly colorful personal narratives overshadow policy arguments and actual knowledge. [Emphasis added]

They are talking about Palin, right?

Those on the Left have always steered well clear of developing any capacity for self-analysis.

The myopia is stunning.

“so little experience” is what we have with this bho. Sarah has more days of actually doing something in government than this bho has had his entire life. It sure is coming to light what a total idiot this bho is on EVERYTHING!

In Obama’s entire career as a legislator, he had one “success”. He killed the infants born alive act as a State Senator. As it shows his extremism, he obviously didn’t want to campaign on that.

So his whole campaign was that he was not Bush. Of course neither were McCain or Palin. But the State Media decided to become Obama’s media arm.

Of course, looking at Obama’s string of unmitigated failures, Bush is looking a lot better then not-Bush right now.

Bush 4.5% unemployment, low taxes, $250B deficit
Obama 17.5% funployment, high taxes, and a $2T deficit

When they go into describing what actual experience she has had (they she was a Chairperson, Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission 2003 – 2004), she seems to have had a lot of experience–way more than BHO.

Palin does have more executive experience than obeyme, and, as 3 extra bonuses, she can and will show her BC, has a soul and does not believe in the torture and murder of unborn humans.

?? Why is she always compared to the president? Even when running for VP, she was constantly compared only to moobs.

She wasn’t compared to Obama during the campaign; in fact, any time someone brought it up, the pressies would give Obama’s presidential campaign “executive experience credit” and quickly change the subject.

It was and is an opportunistic, cynical criticism, one that would only be raised against a Republican.

The book critic responsible for that quote is indulging in projection. He or she, says this about Palin who has a lot more experience in an administrative position than a man who had not produced anything of merit in his whole life. (the man is a craven fool).

I agree with the other comments, that the media behaved like an arm of the Obama campaign, ignoring his obvious faults and not doing their homework. All of them should be sacked because of their own incompetence.

I love the quote about “colorful personal narratives”. Seems to me the person I always hear talking about himself is Obama. Palin tends to talk about the U.S.

Think I’ll go apply to be a CEO. No, I’ve got no upper management experience, but looking for the position is enough experience to get it, right?

Back as we said in the day:

Barack Obama hasn’t run anything in his life except his mouth…
