Sadly, I suspect the MSM won’t confront the problem unless a muslim goes on a murderous rampage at the NY Times or at CNN’s studios.

Tolerance is not acceptance. I think we forget this. We tolerate a car alarm outside our window or a baby crying in public.

There you have it. We call it ‘spin’ but it’s beginning to look as if these liberals really believe much of what they say. With them there’s always a justification, a compelling reason,some one else is to blame and host of other excuses for in-excusable behavior. If liberals have one overwhelming and crippling failing it’s this. It’s why they tend to overlook or explain away shady political dealings and the dealers, why they seem unable to grasp that most of the public does not want the present health care bill. It’s why they allow crooks and liars to remain on their Congressional committees. It’s all explainable, justifiable, the devil made them do it and they had a bad childhood etc etc. Any other, more realistic point of view is labelled as unfeeling, cruel, negativism or similar. Primarily though, it’s why they cannot be allowed to remain in power.

“Problem”? I hardly think one can call it a problem when an enemy of your nation rises through the ranks in your Army without even concealing his actual loyalties.

Would it be considered a “problem” in 1943 if an officer in Ft. Hood had written and spoken sympathetically for months about the need for German national selfhood and finally turned weapons on fellow soldiers while shouting “Heil, Hitler!”

Tolerance is all well and good, but you can “tolerate” yourself right into a body bag.

At some point the people of this country are going to have to acknowledge there is most definitely a problem. I am NOT saying all Muslims in America have ulterior motives. However, I AM saying that if the feds were following this guy’s actions for SIX MONTHS how in the hell did he manage to gather two handguns and ammunition enough for an attack like this? He had to have gone out and bought the stuff or gotten access to it on the base. Did the feds let the base commander know one of the soldiers was under investigation for statements that might make him a danger were he to be sent to Iraq?

I dunno, it just seems to me we are making a grave mistake bending over backwards to prove we’re not “racist” or “anti-muslim” and ignoring warning signs that were they exhibited by anyone else would have warranted some sort of serious investigation or questioning.

And I think the left is going to use this as yet another anti-war club to beat the military and the GOP and Bush about the face and head with again. It’s disgusting.
