NY23: Hot Air Reader Volunteers With Doug Hoffman Campaign

posted at 4:50 pm on October 31, 2009 by

Judith just told me, “I read Hot Air every day.” And a couple of weeks ago, she read “Memo to the Grassroots.” Judith lives in Manhattan, but now she’s in Plattsburgh, N.Y., volunteering for the Doug Hoffman campaign.

Meanwhile, I scored a video interview this afternoon with Hoffman campaign worker Yates Walker:

UPDATE 7:15 p.m. ET: Reporting from the eye of the storm. Meanwhile, we have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Trick or treating in very liberal Evanston, IL (home of Jan Shakowski), I had a trick or treating parent dressed as a Tea Party supporter. He looked like he was a supporter and not mocking the movement. I also spoke to several trick or treating parents who received our new cook county tax assessments yesterday. They suggested the most scary costume would be to dress up as the Cook County tax assessor, James Hollihan.

Nice to know we are not alone in being pissed about the expansion of government, even in blue states. People are now activated feeling we need to express ourselves. Next step is contributing to any limited government candidates you can find. It is primary season, remember, we need bold colors, not pastels to distinguish ourselves from the opposition.

: ))

Another unsung hero is Stacey McCain, the Other McCain who self financed his yeoman reportage from the ground level in NY-23 with terrific up to the minute journalism. Thank you Stacey, you rock!
