Nanny State Insists On Babysitting Your Kids

MPpramOceania is now hiring “Play Rangers.” The UK, having made domestic surveillance into an art form, is now at leisure to babysit your children.

No, really. They insist: Parents banned from supervising their own children in playgrounds… in case they are paedophiles.

Supervising children’s every waking moment is the natural next step in a nation where they are subject to death panels, handguns are sufficiently outlawed so they have moved on to knives and big sticks, they are prosecuted for fighting back against burglars who enter their homes and cameras scour the land like the eye of Sauron, watching for anti-social behavior. Over 10,000 cameras in London alone, which do almost nothing for actual crime. So they’re focusing on thoughtcrime, which can be prosecuted without video.

It’s the nanny state. Literally.

I read the “parents banned from playgrounds” story yesterday with stupefied amazement. In the UK are there any grounds for appeal? Over here we would have a good pro bono legal team challenging this policy in the courts; is there nothing similar in the UK?

I’d be wary of the “Play Rangers”, what better job could a pedophile apply for?

I have no doubt that once England collapses under the weight of its own control mechanisms and “planned recession,” it should be easy pickings and we can then land upon its shores, plant the flag for the Colonial American Forces and declare England a colony of the United States of America.
.
England can then be sold off in bits and pieces to various entertainment companies who will engage the population, for pay, in various “Historic Enclaves” ranging from pre-Roman to Edwardian Lifestyle “Entertainment Areas” available for tours and tourist destination experiences. Everything from the romantic Arthurian wedding and jousting experience to the Roman versus tribal Briton skirmishes and fort construction and back again to Edwardian opulence will be available for the traveler.
.
We can then rename the place Britannia Consolidated (A Division of America, Inc.).

Right, because the only people to be feared are the ones not on a gov’t list. If they are cleared, they get to be around the kids without a parent present. Ah, no, thank you.

Sure, they have pro bono orgs in the UK, but what are the odds anyone will sue? Mark Steyn writes, “I keep getting e-mails saying, “People will reach a tipping point and they’ll no longer put up with this stuff.” I doubt it. Right now the way to bet is that once free societies will retreat incrementally, one trivial step after another, into a totalitarian hell.”

At the same time they’re blowing tax dollars on this and other statist endeavors, they’re starving old people via the “Liverpool pathway” due to NHS funding shortages. And 52% of our country smiles and thinks all this crap is amazingly clever and we should do it too. It’s baffling.

The sad fact is there are probably parents out there who are glad because now they won’t have to watch their own kids.

Just let someone tell me I can’t watch my children. Just LET them. Granted, my kids are 19 and 15, but I still pay attention to their behavior. And when I have grandchildren, I fully intend to continue MY job of overseeing the behavior and safety of my grandchildren.

This is INSANE. If these people are so afraid these parents might be pedophiles, WHY are the children still in said parents’ custody?

Typical lib behavior. No brains. Don’t protect the kids. Protect the government and the weirdos. Sick.
