Even when called out twice on the same factual error, Bill OReilly is a prime example here. With the compliant transcript change, this still doesn't correct the lie, but rather puts two or more Fox News parties responsible for continuing the lie. What rule would be broken here? With propagating false statements and smearing US serviceman at the same time to boot. There are sites like MediaMatters and, the aptly named, Fox News Boycott lies section that continually document lies from Fox. Do a search on Fox lies from google, and you'll come up with a boat load of responses from lefty web sites. You'll have to dredge throught the lefty websites here on this, with a good many complaining on things like wording references such as "death panel" provisions in the Health Care plan. On the Fox News Boycott site look at the Fox and Friends category that, by default, have two reporters spouting the same garbage. Sorry, but the lefty websites is probably all you'll have here as the right leaning ones show a blind eye on this subject. The War on Christmas? Now there's a stretch of the imagination haralded by John Gibson and Bill OReilly. The POTUS is really a racist communist. Thank you GB and Sean Hannity. Of course, all of those stockpiles of WMD have been found in Iraq already also. Has Sean Hannity been willingly waterboarded yet? It's not torture, but rather a walk in the park I'd guess. Even Christopher Hitchens has done this. Clinton was offered Bin Laden on a "silver platter" by Sudan. FEMA was outstanding after hurricane Katrina. There is no such thing as global warming. Fox News didn't promote tea parties, but only reported when no one else would. Reporting on ACORN. Not promoting the GOP adjenda. Liberals hate this country. Blah, bla, blah, bla, blah.... I've given up on watching the channel for the most part, and agree with the moniker of FAUX News. I'm not saying that everything they report isn't accurate where as 90 some plus % is, but took issue with, or rather took up, the challange. The only thing that is 100% is death and taxes, not including Fox News not spouting lies. And here's the real kicker, FOX News claiming to be "Fair and Balanced". No need for sourcing this one. If that's not a lie unto itself, I don't know what is. With being a right-leaning media news outlet, I'd assume that would be fair and "balanced". When anybody can explain to me how right-leaning means balanced, I'll concede the last point. DIRECTORBLUE, No need to use your sites comment section either. On a side note, just ask HotAir to have a charity event here for the $1000 to go to. The generosity could be a tax write off too. Something like care packages for the troops, Special Olympics, The Four Diamonds Fund. The latter would be my preference here. I'd be willing to match your generous contribution to boot.

even more convenient. I guess it doesn’t matter if one spouts lies or not without being redacted. By default here though, this rule has no merit. Spouting garbage and having the management have somebody cover up said garbage doesn’t preclude non factual statements.

• The transcripts and/or video clips must be available on the Fox News website for verification.

easy enough here. Questioned lies have been redacted, without justification. But that doesn’t get us by rule #2.

• The story, refuting the Fox News lie, must have been correctly reported by news reporters from CNN and MSNBC at around the same time (with links and/or transcripts from their sites).

now there’s a stretch of the imagination with lies being countered on different news programs.

I'd loosen that one up a bit. If the clip is on You Tube with full context that ought to be good enough. Because of course the lying Fox liars would hide the evidence!1!!one!! Any authentic clip should do. Here's the White House submission. Sad, ain't it?

Oh, I’ve got it.

Fox News falsely claimed that the President had shirked in his duties in the National Guard, and in fact produced fake documents to back up their assertion!!!

Now, do I get my $1K? Oh, that was CBS? Oops…

Ok, I’ve got it! Fox News set out to prove a safety defect with some trucks. But when they couldn’t get the trucks to blow up, they rigged them with explosives. Oh, darn it, that wasn’t Fox News either?

Alright, how about when they made up accusations of American troops using chemical weapons against defectors in Vietnam? Oh dear – again this wasn’t Fox?

It is almost like Fox is in fact the lone bastion of journalistic integrity out of the big news networks or something…
