I don’t know how things are going to go next year because it’s clear to me that the GOP has NOT figured out what they got wrong in 2008.

This party has been given gift after gift in blunders by the DNC and Obama. Over and over has this mess of an administration screwed up, yet instead of grabbing hold of these blunders and making the most of them, the party seems to be bound and determined to let them pass us by.

If we can’t make something out of this administration’s disregard for national security and nearly criminal neglect of our troops and their mission, we have no one but ourselves to blame when the country brings Obama back for another term.

It’s almost as if these guys in the GOP are so determined not to admit they’re wrong they’ve put blinders on so they don’t have to watch the crash. They appear willing to sacrifice everything our founding fathers worked for just so they don’t have to say “Ok, we were wrong. America DOES want more conservative leadership not less.”

I never thought I’d see the day that the architect of the “Contract for America” who helped take Congress back for the first time in decades would ignore the blatant liberal agenda of a candidate the way Newt has with Dede.

It’s pathetic, it’s sad and it’s DAMNED scary.

… and man, I will lose my mind if we lose those races (Owens and Corzine) because the Republicans split their votes.

UGH.

It will be *no* consolation to look back and say “well, if they had consolidated their vote, we’d have won!” – while the Dem whistles all the way to the office.

Daggett has to be convinced to withdraw.

Dede has to be convinced to withdraw.

Period.

I love it!!

At the same time that they’re sawing away at the plank Deeds is standing on they seem to have forgotten, hmmm, let’s see, solidarity, brotherhood, party unity? Oh, yeah, what am I thinking. This isn’t ACORN or Rainbow Push, not even the New Panthers. I guess socialism doesn’t have any room for error being the perfect model for governing and all. Wonder if they’ll distance themselves from Chavez and Castro now that they’ve said some disparaging things about Teh One?

In closing, let’s all sing the Obama song: ready? Sing.
