Barack Obama Is a Loser

Barack Obama is a loser. And I don’t mean just in the sense of having wasted $2 million of taxpayers’ money on a pointless mission to fatten the purses of his hometown cronies while Rome burned, although that, too.

The world’s most recently anointed superstar, whose key opponent in the race for the Democrat nomination for president summed him accurately by saying “He’ll give a speech” when faced with a major crisis, has now officially crashed and burned. As with every other crisis in his short presidency, he sought to divert attention — in this case, from a still-struggling economy, the palpable threat of a nuclear rogue nation, and a “war of necessity” suddenly turning south and unpopular — by jetting off to Copenhagen and winning America the “prestige” of another Olympic Games. He was a loser for assuming that this is how the electorate would read such a result. And he’s a bigger loser still for failing to obtain even that result.

Of his loss, Obama said, “I think it’s always a worthwhile endeavor to promote and boost the United States of America and invite the world to come see what we’re all about.” But finally, the once-magical words and phrases have lost their mojo. No one quite sees Obama’s most recent European misadventure as a failed opportunity to boost the United States of America. And mainly that’s because Obama hasn’t stopped dissing America abroad since he took office.

Obama’s handlers have already started looking for patsies to blame. David Axelrod, a Chicago insider who may have benefited financially from the gravy train that would have ensued a Windy City victory, wrote it all off to politics. “‘There are politics everywhere and there were politics inside that room,” he groused.

Other White House officials have claimed it is Chicago Mayor Richard Daley’s fault — that Daley had offered assurances that the city’s bid was within striking distance of winning.

I’ll say the same thing I’ve been saying since last year — the same non-threatening, laid-back personality that allowed Obama to pull in Guilty White Liberal voters to beat both Hillary and McCain makes him a horrific Chief Executive.

If he’s not non-threatening and has a personality like Al Sharpton, he scares the bejezzus out of the Guilty White Liberals and never comes close to beating Hillary. But you can’t fake that bland personality over a two-plus year campaign. That’s who Obama is, which means while he’s far to the left, he has no stomach for conflict where he doesn’t have everyone except conservatives/Republicans behind him. And that kind of personality gets rolled and made a fool of, whether it’s by Nancy Pelosi, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or the International Olympic Committee, because they know he’s not going to come back after them, as long as they don’t go on the Rush Limbaugh show or support Sarah Palin.

I’d actually feel sorry for the guy for being such a wimp on the world’s stage, except his ego hasn’t been beaten down enough yet to realize how embarrassing this is getting. And since the syncopatic big media is never, ever going to admit that truth I doubt Obama’s going to change until possibly when the 2012 poll numbers are staring him in the face (many of the same media folks still thought David Dinkins was wonderful as mayor of New York for the same reasons they think Obama’s wonderful, as the murder rate hit six a day, disasters like Crown Heights happened and even liberal New Yorkers turned to Rudy Giuliani to save the city).

It goes like this.

B.O. is a product of the Chicago Democrat Political Machine.

Daley is the power behind that Machine.

Obama used the Machine to get elected to the White House.

Daley therefore was ordering B.O. to come to Copenhagen and use his influence to win the bid for Chicago.

B.O. failed, and is now in a position to be issued some serious damage from the same Machine that won him the White House.

And that damage will be issued by none other that Daley, in retaliation for B.O.’s miserable failure here.

That is how things work in the political theater known as Chicago. You live by The Machine, you die by The Machine.

It just depends on who is controlling the switch at the time.

I’m starting to think that everybody who voted for Obama should apologize. To him.

Winning the Presidency is not always VICTORY after all.

It can always be a CURSE, depending how the Winner behaves himself and how he got it in the firs place.

IOC administered the bitch slap that was heard around the world. Too bad it wasn’t a year earlier.

I just think this is a scream! I’m sure it’ll be considered unpatriotic, but I’m GLAD Chicago lost. I could not stomach another round of taxpayer funds going to folks who are owed because BO Boy got elected.

The people of Chicago should be thanking their lucky stars this whole deal failed. Otherwise this man and his wife with the chips on their shoulder the size of the Great Wall would forever feel Chicago owed THEM for the mess the Olympic games would have brought to their city.

Look at London for heaven’s sake. The costs are skyrocketing and entire sections of historical city are being destroyed. For what? A bunch of crappy stadiums, etc., that will go to rack and ruin within a couple of years after the games are over.
