Brzezinski Spinning His “Liberty in Reverse” on Morning Joe
posted at 9:48 am on September 25, 2009 by Michael van der Galien
Appearing on Morning Joe, former Carter national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski reacted to the outrage sparked by comments he had made earlier this week to the Daily Beast.’
For those with short-term memory problems: his comments were widely interpreted as a call on President Obama to shoot down Israeli jets were they bold enough to fly over Iraq en route to attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Brzezinski explained to the friendly crowd (his daughter Mika is Joe Scarborough’s co-host) at Morning Joe yesterday:
“I simply said that if the Israelis violated our [air] space, there could be an incident — and I said it’s very much to be avoided — that could produce a [perception of] collusion. Because I don’t assume that we would simply let the Israelis use our airspace for an attack for which we would then be blamed by the Iranians.”
That would be great… if it were true.
Sadly for Brzezinski, we do not suffer from memory loss. He can spin this all he wants, but no one’s falling for his rather obvious lie.
Well, no one except for ‘moderate conservative’ Joe Scarborough and co-host Mika, that is.

Zbig’s probably thinking he and Jimmy should have taken out the Israelis when they had the chance 30 years ago.

“Our airspace?” I thought it would be Iraqi air space.

Of course we wouldn’t let the evil Joooos attack our newfound ally and defender of freedom, Iran.
It feels like I wandered into Bizarro world on January 20th of this year.
