Exactly, J.J. If this eventuality should miraculously come to pass (which it won't), it'll be purely by accident, not design. In Obama's infantile view, disarming is the path to peace. Whereas to anyone not weaned on revisionist history, it's nothing put the road to defeat.

The law of unintended consequences, I suppose. I have been screaming about that for years. I think the Euros are so brainwashed against any military at all, even self defense, that they are hopelessly lost. I don’t think Obozo thought this through at all. It is obvious that he is not a strategic thinker, certainly in the sense of putting America’s defense first. He is an ideologue who suckled on the teat of commie propaganda all his life and will only be satisfied when America is cut down to size, consequences be damned.

I’m reluctant to even say it because the possibility is so remote and so inconsequential compared to the damage that Obama could have caused, but…

Nothing that the US has done has ever resulted in European nations increasing their defense budgets, meaning that Europeans, in the main, continue to freeload on the US defense guarantee through NATO. The only reason that they can afford such expansive welfare states is because they don’t have to devote a larger proportion of state funds to defense, thank you very much America.

This could be a ploy by the Obama administration to finally force European nations to take their national defense seriously.

It will be most interesting to see the President of the United States preside over a UN Security Council meeting next week (?). Especially after the diplomatic language is translated into English for the commoner.
