It’s Official: Keith Olbermann Is Mad

Yes, I realize I’m stating the obvious. Everyone knows what a loon Mr. Piece is. (“Mr. Piece” is how I affectionately refer to Olbermann because of that hardly noticeable rug he wears). Certainly Rupert Murdoch knows Mr. Piece is crazy and even said so, when asked in 2008 whether he would ever hire Olbermann. Murdoch’s reply: “No, I fired him five years ago. He was crazy.” The folks at NBC seem to have a strong inkling, too, that Olbermann is unwell. They fired him, too — from covering the 2008 election after he demonstrated at the RNC convention that he couldn’t be an impartial newsman if his mother’s life depended on it. (There was also this little matter of his opining when MSNBC chose to air a tribute to the victims of the 9/11 attacks that the tribute was “not appropriate to be shown,’” and that any who participated in showing it should be “eviscerated.”)
But Olbermann is mad in the other sense of the word as well. As the Ace of Spades reports, Olbermann has a post on Daily Kos where he asks fellow tinfoil hat wearers to send him everything they “can find out about Glenn Beck.” See, Piece is mad at Beck for getting Van Jones fired. (Hey, maybe someone should check and see if Piece signed the Truthers pledge of loyalty. That seems to be about his speed.)
It is fun to watch a loser like Olbermann mount his little tin-soldier attacks, but it is also sad. In the end, he is a pathetic figure. I just wonder when MSNBC will have the kindness to put Mr. Piece out of our misery.

Sorta ironic that MSNBC’s most viewed program is “Lock Up.” (That absolutely inane inside the prison reality series.) Perhaps Kiefer will soon appear as a regular?
coldwarrior on September 6, 2009 at 5:22 PM
Of course, you left out that Olbermann made this request as a result of BECK’s request that you wingnuts send HIM everything you’ve got on Cass Sunstein.
But when have you cats ever felt comfortable telling the WHOLE truth?
bschmalfeldt on September 6, 2009 at 5:24 PM
Fired him from covering the election???
Then who WAS that, looking like Olbermann, COVERING THE ELECTION? ON ELECTION NIGHT AND BEFORE???
bschmalfeldt on September 6, 2009 at 5:25 PM
I hope the internet, aka HA et all, will find out ALL they can find on olbermann. Is he above what he is asking on Glenn?

Glenn Beck = Private citizen, doing his job.
Cass Sunstein = Unelected federal “czar” with undisclosed powers, unclear mission, questionable past associations.
You don’t see the difference?

You read this. Then maybe you can tell me.

Won’t it be easier if he just makes up.. like everything else. They can start with that Glenn Beck 1990 rape site.
See? That gives them one horrific lie; come up with another one.
I got one:
Glenn Beck kills puppies on the weekends for fun. See? It’s easy to lie!!

Fundamental flaw with your argument, and Keith’s by proxy:
Beck isn’t a player in the Obama administration helping to craft policy. So why do I need to know anything about him? Beck doesn’t ultimately affect my life. Sunstein does.
Keith’s trying to be funny, but he’s not. No wonder Beck is kicking his butt in ratings
xax on September 6, 2009 at 8:52 PM
Actually he did kill a puppy, Bobo, on the air, in 2003.
(OK he didn’t really, it was to prove a point, look it up, that’s what we do on the right, we actually look stuff up)

Yes, Olbermann, Daily Kos, Huffpo, are all known for their truthtelling. No spinning done there.
I check all my facts on their sites.

Could have had this diagnosis YEARS ago.

And you cats like to say “move along, nothing to see here.” When will you cats admit that if such a man had worked for the previous president holding views that progressives, or whatever you cats are calling yourselves now, found abhorrent, you’d be calling for his/her head.

Basically, Keith had been trying since 2003 to do something — anything! — on his show that would lead to the resignation and/or legal action taken against a Bush Administration official and/or the president himself. And while Obama did win the presidency, all of Keith’s bloviating and righteous anger produced not one new negative piece of information on the former administration that mattered.
Now here comes Glenn Beck — already in Olby’s target site over at CNN — and he moves to Fox, giving Keith even more of reason to go after him. So he spends the spring and summer repeating the “Beck is a dangerous evil loon” meme and what happens? The guy Beck targeted less than a month ago is forced to resign from his job (even if it was the info dug up by Gateway Pundit that delivered the fatal blow).
So in eight months on Fox, Beck did something Olby had been trying to do without success for six years on MSNBC — get an administration higher-up ousted from his job. No wonder Keith is going psychotic over this (and if Glenn were to walk a block down the street one day this week to take the NBC Studio tour at 30 Rock as a private citzen about the same time Olby was arriving for work, he’d probably send Keith completely over the edge).

I think we should give him the flag@whitehouse.gov treatment. Load his email box up with junk.
clement on September 7, 2009 at 11:24 AM
Yes, but what has he said about Beck, Rush, Quitter etc, that is incorrect?
He pwns them and the rest of the right every night. For weeks he called Hannity the puzzy that he his for reneging on his waterboarding pledge. He took Beck’s chalk talk and destroyed it because Beck can’t spell. Say what you will, Keith prepares for his program. He would never have let himself look that stupid on the air.
Yes, he can be rather full of himself, and he has a tendency to ask leading questions, but his commentaries are untouchable. How do I know? Because his targets remain silent. It’s a lot easier to ignore or call KO names than it is to rebut him.
chumpThreads on September 7, 2009 at 12:58 PM
He seems to manage to find plenty of other ways, his “worst person in the world” silliness not being the least of them.
As to his targets remaining silent, has it occurred to you that they simply don’t care what he says?

Among other untouchables such as raw sewage and
rotten corpses you can find Keith’s commentaries.

I was unaware that KO had gone after Van Jones.
When did this happen?
massrighty on September 7, 2009 at 3:33 PM
Isn’t it about time someone digs up some s**t on Olby? Come on, he’s nuts. There’s got to be tons of good stuff buried that would humiliate him.
