BREAKING NEWS: Voters Unseat Harry Reid After 22-Year Career in Senate

Maybe it is just wishful thinking on my part, but I predict that the title of this post is a headline you are likely to see on November 3, 2010. Should Reid indeed by voted out of office, let me be the first to say that it couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.

I already disliked Reid plenty mainly because he is a sniveling partisan weasel, but especially because of his rather outrageous Tokyo Rose imitation in 2007, just as the surge was getting underway, when he announced for all the world to hear —  including our brave combat troops — that the war in Iraq was lost. And then there’s this, from the describing an incident involving Reid last week:

On Wednesday, before he addressed a Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Reid joined the chamber’s board members for a meet-’n'-greet and a photo. One of the last in line was the Review-Journal‘s director of advertising, Bob Brown, a hard-working Nevadan who toils every day on behalf of advertisers. He has nothing to do with news coverage or the opinion pages of the Review-Journal.

Yet, as Bob shook hands with our senior U.S. senator in what should have been nothing but a gracious business setting, Reid said: “I hope you go out of business.”

Sherman Frederick, who wrote the article, calls Reid’s ugly remark “a full-on threat perpetrated by a bully who has forgotten that he was elected to office to protect Nevadans, not sound like he’s shaking them down.”

In light of this incident, I hope you will join in extending the same fond bon voyage to the Senate Majority Leader: Harry, I hope you go out of business.

For what it’s worth, Reid is already on track to lose big-time in the midterm election next year. According to an article in the August 23 edition of the aforementioned Review-Journal, Reid trails Republican challenger Danny Tarkanian by double digits (49% to 38%). Could this be why Reid feels so vindictive toward the paper — because they are telling the truth and the truth hurts? Gee, you’d think by age 70, ol’ Harry would have learned to face facts. Then again, that would require knowing a fact when you see one, and for Harry Reid this point is certainly open to debate.

I hope he fails. And loses his job.

Thanks for posting this on top of Ed’s post on the same subject. This needs to be posted as many times as possible to show how small this man is. To wish economic failure on his own constituency is stunning. I hope he fails as wll and is crushed in the next election.

This sniveling little slimeball of a man should have been out of office a long time ago. I can’t stand him. I can’t vote against him, but I can sure contribute to the campaign of his challenger. I already have, and will again.

With the inept handling of world affairs by the current administration, Reid may yet be proven right.

Sounds to me like the “Chicago” politicians (Obama and his thugs)are rubbing off on Harry Reid. What a classless man.
It is about time that we see a major newspaper stand up to a bully like Harry “the war is lost” Reid. Anybody reading this article should be appalled. It is time to wake up and clean house in 2010. I’m sick and tired of elected officials who think they can do anything, say anything, vote any way they please, cheat on their taxes, suspiciously end up millionaires after a lifetime of being a public servant, and conduct themselves as though there is no reckoning day for their actions. Obama is trying to turn us into a banana republic with a 3rd world country corrupt type government. Harry Reid is drunk on his Kool aid. Maybe after the 2010 election (hopefully with many democrats losing) Congress will finally start paying attention to what the American people want, and not what the liberals want. After all, we put them in the office and we sure can take them out. There are plenty of honest, hard working, intelligent, and capable people who are able to replace Senator Harry Reid. He is an embarrassment to Nevada. Hopefully he will be retired Nov. 2010. I am just one vote but it will count.

By the way speaking of Danny Tarkanian…if that last name is familiar to college hoops fans; HIS FATHER IS FORMER UNLV COACH JERRY “TARK THE SHARK” TARKANIAN. Yes, the same guy known for chewing on a towel during games.

Danny was also a point guard on the team.

At his site there is a video of him being ambushed by some cable news hotshot in Vegas, who clearly went to the Tingles Matthews school of interviews!

Reid is toast–and he knows it.

The ‘sniveling’ and outright lying will reach Epic Proportions in the next year as this POS makes the Titanic look seaworthy…..

Sure, I hate Hallelujiah Harry just as much as anyone but the thought of a Tarkanian as his replacement makes me cringe. He’ll be the GOP version of Al Franken. Isn’t there anyone else in the Nevada Republican Party willing to challenge the Screwup from Searchlight?

I don’t care if the repubs run Mickey Mouse against dingy Harry. This guy needs to go.
