As Dennis Miller famously said during the campaign, the problem with Obama is not the color of his skin, but the thinness of it. If you’re going to make it “all about you,” you had best not whine like a little girl when your opponents give it right back to you.

It’s about him, not his country; he openly acknowledges it.

It occurs to me that this is his Achilles heel.

Rules for Radicals says to attack people, not institutions. If Obama made his crusades about the country and not about himself, it would be harder for the opposition to attack him. But because he poses every challenge in terms of himself, it makes it easy for his opposition to “personalize it” and use ridicule. And ridicule works extremely well against Obama because he’s so thin-skinned. When people ridicule him, he immediately runs back into the public eye to fight back, makes a fool of himself, and opens himself up to even more ridicule.
