SUPER-UPDATE:  Just found the source of the original photo:  Blogger Adrienne at MOTIVATION: TRUTH – go there for add’l photos and video of the farewell picnic, and thank Adrienne if you got a kick out of her work today.

Cross-posted from Zombie Contentions.

UPDATE:

As a couple commenters pointed out – image kindly provided by T Paine – Barack Obama had a book, too:

With POST-AMERICAN WORLD

...keeping his place in THE POST-AMERICAN WORLD

According to Bardman, comparing the two images:  “Enough.  Said.”  I get the sentiment, but I’m not sure I agreee – I think it’s just a beginning point.

Katie Couric doesn’t approve.

holy cow! you can’t buy publicity like that! not that levin needs it… ;-)

homesickamerican on July 25, 2009 at 12:50 PM

Goes along nicely with the shirt. Hmm, what message is she trying to send? Anyone?

Heh.

You know who this benefits-
The Great One!

mizflame98 on July 25, 2009 at 1:01 PM

According to MSNBC, it’s the pop-up-picture edition.

guntotinglibertarian on July 25, 2009 at 1:03 PM

Wow was feeling groggy and that image just brought me back to life! Love, love, love it.

God Bless, both, Sarah and the Great One.

Savrielle on July 25, 2009 at 1:04 PM

And I need to h/t Yogi41 over at Conservatives 4 Palin for bringing it to my attention.

powerpro on July 25, 2009 at 1:05 PM

Wow, nice plug for Levin.

If McCain had kept Palin away from Gibbons and Couric and had instead had her on Rush, Levin, Hannity, Medved, etc., with live press conferences at campaign events (so any press BS and bias could have been immediately called upon by the crowd), what might have been?

Mr. Joe on July 25, 2009 at 1:05 PM

Palin knows where her bread will be buttered. Her closest allies are going to be people like Levin and Rush. I’ll tell you – whatever you expect from her you don’t know the half of it. Palin MAY NOT be planning on running for Prez … but she, along with Levin and Rush ARE PLANNING, scheming – to bring the GOP back to a Conservative baseline. Stand by – it’s gonna be fun!

HondaV65 on July 25, 2009 at 1:08 PM

+1 Mr. Joe

McCain and company really screwed up.

JeffreyLloyd on July 25, 2009 at 1:09 PM

Eh, vitriolic for my tastes, but its a start ;-)

Do you think the sweatshirt and book were just a coincidence?? NOT!! :-)

ny59giants on July 25, 2009 at 1:13 PM

This has to be a deliberate message to anyone who’s looking.
The media, RINOs, and Conservatives, and Mr. Levin himself.

I would expect Palin on The Mark Levin Show in the near future.

The book is not vitrolic at all. Very good read.

clorensen on July 25, 2009 at 1:19 PM

Reading the book as we speak, it’s quite good.

I love the Great One’s voice.

And as always, GO Sarah!

New England Patriots Sweatshirt!!! Holy Crap…That’s MY team!!!!

I’m in love…officially!

If it was a grey hoodie……it would be porn!

DLEW on July 25, 2009 at 1:20 PM

Somebody gave it to her at the event, apparently:

[quote]She left with her hands full, as people pressed items ranging from a stuffed moose doll to a copy of conservative talk show host Mark Levin’s best-selling “Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto” in her hand.

So Couric reads a producer’s cue cards while Palin reads a scholar’s instructional. Hmm. Who, exactly, is the idiot?

The truth will out.

Palin plays chess while her ankle-biters eat playdough.

Sarah Palin at the 07/24/09 Alaska Governor’s Picnic in Wasilla, no politics, just honoring vets and their families.

HondaV65 on July 25, 2009 at 1:08 PM

No, her strongest allies will be regular folks. Reagan needed no such allies, he simply spoke to the regular folks and they responded.

I can’t stand Republicans, but even I like Sarah Palin, her toughness has earned my respect.

True_King on July 25, 2009 at 1:32 PM

Given the substance of his rants forgive me if my assumption was hasty.

Levin only rants on the radio, where he is quite rude to some of his callers and also very nasally, but he is the picture of politeness on television and his book is sober enough.

aengus on July 25, 2009 at 1:34 PM

I am looking forward to the book review Palin has for Liberty & Tyranny. The third, fourth or maybe the fifth printings of Liberty & Tyranny may also have a Palin short summary or some words of praise accompanying this edition of Mark Levin’s work (blurb).

Americannodash on July 25, 2009 at 1:34 PM

Sarah can actually read folks. Another MSM lie about Sarah down the toilet.

ernesto on July 25, 2009 at 1:28 PM

I’m familiar with your attitude from previous posts, and I knew exactly what you meant. It is so tiresome, the same old crap over and over again.

This lady has been a voracious reader all her life, according to people who actually know her.

So, you relax, I’m fine.

Is it wrong of me to want a woman who has five kids and is married?

If so, then I’m seriously in need of an attitude adjustment.

Spank me, Sarah. Spank me hard. I’ve been a bad conservaitve.

(See? We on the right can have fun.)

madmonkphotog on July 25, 2009 at 1:48 PM

Slightly OT: So when is the public pressure going to built to change the name the New England Patriots to something like the New England Apologists?

I screwed that link up. Let me try again:

ernesto on July 25, 2009 at 1:11 PM

The problem for me now with you ernesto is that I can’t take anything you write seriously anymore. You’ve established that you sometimes convey commentary that even you don’t sincerely believe in the first place or agree with for that matter. You have admitted to me that it is your purpose here to agitate by expressing polar opposite views just to get a rise out of other commentaters at Hot Air. You have rendered yourself and your opinions irrelevant to any or all discussions on threads at Hot Air. Take some time to think about that before you decide to weigh in on future comments here on Hot Air. Being funny or taking on the role of an agitator is good sometimes but you need to learn to rein in your insincerity when its your own credibility on issues that begin to wane.

[btw} Liberty & Tyranny is a great read so maybe you should buy the book or borrow it from one of your conservative friends if you truly have any.

Americannodash on July 25, 2009 at 2:15 PM

Wow!
From all the stellar reporting that comes out of the MAINSTREAM MEDIA, you would not even begin to think she could READ?!

IKIDYOUNOT on July 25, 2009 at 2:16 PM

Thank you so much for posting this (and the video, too!). Just when I am ready to throw myself off a building over Obammy, my faith is restored.
I hope she takes the gloves off and comes out swinging!

sybilll on July 25, 2009 at 2:49 PM

Fine bit of gum show work there from Politico, and so far from the beltway too. (Careful on the per diem expense, and would that be ‘hybrid’ mileage?) Speaking of liberty, and backyard picnics, has Politico ever found out which patriots were on board Scare Force One as it dropped caterpillars onto NYC?

Say what. I didn’t think MSNBC even had that level of literacy.

chemman on July 25, 2009 at 3:01 PM

Can I tell you that my girls used to love to see her on the news? My oldest (six) was thrilled when she had to get glasses last summer so she could “look like Sarah Palin.” They miss her. I miss her.

I know it’s selfish of me to want her to run for President–after what the liberal press did to her, I can’t in good conscience ask anyone to put themselves or their families through that again.

But if she did run–well, I can hope, can’t I?

Niere on July 25, 2009 at 3:08 PM

I’ve been doing all I can to promote “Libery & Tyranny” on Twitter. I so glad that Sarah Palin noticed!

Okay, it’s not really about me. Sigh…..

ehvogel on July 25, 2009 at 3:13 PM

Palin: “Liberty & Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto.”

Obama: “The Post-American World.”

Enough. Said.
