Where “two pounds” comes from is anybody’s guess, but that incident paired with all of the other ones raise some real questions about ~~management and~~ usefulness of the ~~Administration’s multi-million dollar watchdog~~ RedState and Drudge website.

Whatever the government explanation, the recovery.gov website's mission of transparency is a failure. Listing a contract price and item description, without quantities or unit prices, is completely worthless.

Yes they make Farmer John products but in 2004 they were bought out by Hormel.

The honcho at Hormel was a big Obama donor / bundler and just got an Ambassador appointment from Obama.

At least it was sliced ham. You normally have to pay extra for that. We should be grateful that someone in the Obama government did the hard bargaining needed to get our $600,000.00 per pound ham sliced for free.
