Most people can tell the difference when their ears feel wet. They also know when they are being ripped off. The sad part is the ones in power right now are using a scam to spend and tax. Spend first and then figure out a way to pay for it. Coal cannot be replaced by windmills or solar panels. They are bringing us an ecological disaster and don’t have a clue.

I can’t believe they didn’t come up with an equally arbitrary number for in case the average temperature drops, because that’s what’s happening.

Pffft. Global warming, global cooling, as long as they can seize our money, that’s all that matters.

This reminds me of the apocryphal tale of King Canute.

That king’s advisers kept telling him how powerful he was. So he takes them down to the shore and commands the tide to turn. The tide, of course, doesn’t turn. Thus the good king showed his advisers just how little power he actually had.

But now we have world leaders who think that we can regulate global temperatures just as we can regulate a house’s thermostat. Bring back King Canute!

0 backs measures to control the Earths temperature. I also heard he backs measures to part the seas, realign the planets, limit frogs raining down from the sky, and the amount of solar activity the sun is allowed.

Oddly enough, with the earth probably going through a cooling cycle now, they might reach their goal and then give themselves a pat on the back for a job well done after putting our economy at the bottom of the ocean.
