Race should not bear on or in connection with the matter of the Sotomayor nomination . Considerations for the Sotomayor nomination to SC should be based on the content of her character. Her writings, speeches, decisions, activities & associations etc…of Sotomayor’s past is what should be taken in to account. The basis on whether she gets the nod or doesn’t has nothing to do with your ethnicity. The Senators performing this task should keep that in mind. Also, the U.S. Constitution is what it is. What we don’t need on the SC is someone who is of the mind that you can legislate for the bench. Sadly it is for Sotomayor, that my readings of her histories reflects a person whose mind set occasionally removes the blindfold of Lady Justice (Themis, Goddess of Justice). Some decisions such as the recent SCOTUS over ruling (9 to 0)the lower court decision of the firefighter[s] in state of NH. This indicates to me that she will [activist] wander away from constitutional law when the notion of empathy toward statis and occasionally she will disregard and nullify the laws.

This should be a red flag to the Senators or at least the ones who respect and uphold the U.S. Constitution.
