I was kind of astonished to discover that my state’s congressman, Earl Pomeroy, a Democrat, actually voted against this abomination. I would have expected him to mindlessly toe the party line.

Maybe the flood of outraged calls to his office combined with the recent Carville Memo to scare the hell out of him.

I wonder if, like the terrorists who seize control of an airplane and drive it into the ground — I wonder if any members of congress uttered the secular equivalent of “alahu akhbar” as they flipped the switch to drive the American economy into the ocean with millions of innocent people on board.

Like, “this is for you, mother Earth!”

All their grunting about “jobs, jobs, jobs” — will fall flat when gasoline hits $5.00 per gallon. Perhaps that will turn the tide? Unfortunately, it’s more likely that Obama will issue gasoline subsidies to “the working people” (= the slackers) and guess who will pay?

Our leaders are witless, no doubt, but I blame my neighbors who voted for these reckless bastards. It sickens me to know my neighbors voted for this.
