Not quibbling, but Ron Ziegler (White House Press Secretary) described Watergate as a “Third-Rate Burglary.”

Remember the lesson of Watergate: not the burglary, but the cover-up, brought the presidency down.

Keep digging. Every indication is that Obama is a crooked Chicago thug.

Of course, Clinton was a crooked “good old boy” from Arkansas, and he managed to stick around for two terms.

Obama doesn’t strike me as smart enough to pull back from danger as I think Clinton did a few times to save his bacon, though. We’ll see.

Keep in mind, Other, that the White House Press Corps guys weren’t the ones who broke Watergate. It was a couple guys on the city news desk who smelled a rat and kept digging.

These days, that niche in the reporting and news gathering ecosystem are filled by ….
