tell a woman that if she wants nationalized health care like exists in UK, Sweden, etc., then she will no longer be in the country that has the lowest mortality rate for breast cancer. America has the best methods of detection, diagnosis, treatment & mortality rates.

if you are truly pissed off about the prospect of socialized medicine, tell 2 women.

women can get this bill defeated if they all pull together like they do for breast cancer.

I don’t get why conservatives let the Dems position this as an all or nothing issue. Aren’t there any middle approaches that can resolve the access issue for the 55% who want coverage but aren’t able to get it independently? Most states have risk pools for high risk drivers. All the insurance companies that write policies in those states have to pony up money to put into the fund that covers the otherwise uninsurable drivers. Couldn’t something similar work for health coverage?

What about allowing cafeteria style coverage so I don’t have to pay for 90 different issues I’ll never confront and thereby can tailor my coverage to my risks?
