You Will Know Them By the Company They Keep

posted at 2:33 pm on June 5, 2009 by

If there ever was a time to examine this most basic precept…you will know them by the company they keep…the latest from the Murtha camp is compelling, indeed.

Two of John Murtha’s associates, two who have received goodies from Murtha’s earmarks over the years, over $14 million of our tax dollars, according to some sources, well, these two have a bit of a sordid past…just a bit.

Former drug dealers, one of whom has served time for cocaine trafficking?

Nice.

At what point will the citizens of Pennsylvania come to their senses?  At what point will the Department of Justice start doing its job…going after fraud and embezzlement and that sort of stuff?

And where is Congress in all of this?  Murtha is a dark stain on the Nation, his quips about murderous Marines aside, he is the prototypical sleezeball member of Congress, in bed with this Administration, and this Congress, and one is reminded of Nancy Pelosi’s claim about the most ethical Congress evah…

Not only does Murtha have to go, he has to do hard time…for to suggest Murtha had no idea at all about who was on the receiving end of his largesse calls for the suspension of not only belief, but sanity as well.

Are you serious?

The Justice Department has IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO.

Saw that earlier…guess the DoJ is just too busy going after law-abiding citizens than going after thugs. We’ve certainly made great strides haven’t we?

{Me? Serious?]

DOJ is also too busy to prosecute the new Black Panthers, looking into Carlos Bledsoe committing terrorism or hate crime against the a member of our military, and the actions of renegade policemen who arrest people for having bumper stickers on their cars which express displeasure with Obama.

Between moves like this from the DOJ and the 15 Czars who have been appointed by Obama, I get the distinct feeling it is not going to take long before we do not have venues to express our opinions. The next step of course is going to be either prison, or some sort of camp. Not to long ago, someone asserting something like this might cause you to think they were a lunatic. But we are no longer in Kansas!

Well – he does do a pretty good spud-that-spits act.

What’s even more interesting is how close he is to Pelosi, in her leadership cabal, a longtime ally and favorite. Not a bad chance he has something on her, though a slightly smaller chance that we’ll ever see it.

My guess is that she’s so congenitally obstinate that she refused to acknowledge vulnerability. Now, she knows she’s vulnerable, and can’t afford to take another hit. Unless there’s big boot to drop, I still think she’ll stick it out to 2010, at which point, if the Dems get plastered, they can defenestrate her without looking back. She may be on the way out regardless, kind of like Rumsfeld by 2006, but even more so.

There are 3 ways by which to tell the character of a man: his eyes, his friends/associates and his favorite quotes. Some say there is a fourth: his favorite beer.
