Comments on: Obama: no empathy for women?

I just wrote about these comments myself on my site.

The big problem for me is that we’re talking about apples and space shuttle parts. Don’t dare compare brutal regimes to the US as you so love to do.

And why does he support the idea of women feeling they have to cover their heads for the men who dominate them, yet he doesn’t support women not having an education? Both are islamic ideas at the root…why is one okay and the other is somehow wrong?

I wish he’d grow a pair and expose islam for what it is…a religion started by a mass murdering madman, and as long as muslims revere such a man, women will never have rights. The two ideas are polar opposites. And since when do muslims respect or even tolerate religious diversity?! The koran itself relegates non-muslims to second class citizen status.

Clueless.

When a women “chooses” to cover her hair because otherwise she might be killed or punished, that does show inequality in society. The clothing is just one aspect of the culture in these countries that treat women as second class citizens. Any “feminist” who voted for this man should feel shame.
