Tiller, Recruiters, and the Question of the Day

How come when a lunatic who commits murder under the guise of being “pro-life,” it’s due to extremist right-wing rhetoric and is used (by Keith Olbermann, etc) to paint the entire pro-life movement as an extremist organization that should be tightly monitored by Homeland Security — but when a Muslim commits murder in the name of his religion, those same people tell us not to judge an entire group of people based on the acts of just a few (including, not so surprisingly, Keith Olbermann)?
Bonus question: Does anybody really believe that the likes of Randall Terry, seen below essentially justifying the murder of George Tiller, would not be thinking this way if it weren’t for O’Reilly, Beck and Limbaugh saying that baby killing is wrong? Puh-leez:

Am I the only one not saddened by Tiller’s death? The only other person I can think of that took more joy in his horrific work was Reinhard Heydrich.
And the reason the left shuts up about Muslims doing murder is their own fear on losing their pointy heads.
Tiller’s reputation was renowned, and as I said he was a happy, vociferous advocate of plunging scissors into baby skulls. O’Reilly, Beck, et all had no influence.

I’m not happy but I’m not sad over this monster’s death. I’m ambivalent. If you recognize in your heart and mind that abortion is murder, I think it is acceptable to feel frustration at the ramifications of this act but certainly wringing your hands over the death of an unapologetic, corrupt and grandstanding mass murderer is unnecessary. I feel a modicum of empathy for his grandchildren – one can only hope they did not know what this monster did for a living. (And what’s with his fellow parishioners – how disturbed are they to sit in the church he helped build with the proceeds of his despicable deeds?)
I rejoice at the fact that the clinic is closed, if only for a week. Hopefully, a few women will use the time to reconsider. Unfortunately, the clinic will probably offer freebies again – this is how they celebrate all “milestones” of the “movement”.
But as I prayed for forgiveness for my immediate thoughts of rejoice at this monster’s death (good old Catholic guilt) I asked God to find a way to use this to further His cause, not the cause of any of us mere (flawed) mortals.
There is no excuse the Left can give for assigning blame for this crime on all Pro-Lifers/Conservatives/Republicans/Christians/meat eaters/gun owners/baby birthers/ whatever. Did we expect one? How could we possibly expect logic from this crowd. They abandoned logic and common sense, along with their souls, decades ago. They are children, lashing out as children do, because they think they might get a cookie as reward.
As was noted on earlier threads, any chance the Left did this themselves? The timing is awfully convenient. And I do not think Terry would be any less vehement in his beliefs and mission if he didn’t have the support of the conservative media. I appreciate the honesty in his statement. To me, being a good Christian includes understanding that we are flawed, that we will have “socially unacceptable” feelings, that we should keep them mostly to ourselves and ask for understanding and forgiveness. Celebrating this man’s death is harsh (albeit part of human nature) but seeing the good that might come from it is Divine.

It really is the end isn’t it? If we are not in the endtimes we are at least at the end of America….in our lifetime probably. Churches that condone infanticide and others that perform gay marriages shows how lost our nation really is.

Should be Quote of the Day.

La Shawn Barber agrees:
No Outpouring of Condemnation or Sympathy for Murdered Military Recruiter
Sill waiting for Obama to issue a statement. You’d think this would be worthy of something from the guy who is supposed to be the Commander in Chief.
The timing of this shooting, coming as it did the day after Tiller, serves to underscore the priorities of this administration.
