Dinner And A Show

Why, of course.  Where else is The Hippest President Evah going to go to catch some fine thee-a-ter?  It’s not like there’s any urgent business back in the office or anything.  My only question is…will they take the southern approach into NYC?

Obama should just cool his jet and stay in DC and invite people in rather than go out and screw up everybody else’s evening. DC folk are accustomed to the ramifications of presidential movements. Something relatively few people realize is the absolute traffic jamming inconvenience having the President in town or his just moving around for the fun of it.(Knowing DC traffic, I wince that Obie jaunts off to burger joints at the congested lunch hour..he has a chef right at home. I know Obie wants a photo op, but it’s boorish inconsideration cubed)

When we lived in LA, we just dreaded the Clintons because they would show up OFTEN. The Presidential Motorcade security requires a ginormous perimeter of completely clear roads. That means, no traffic in either direction on a freeway that’s usually crammed. Even people that hated Bush, loved him for mostly not coming there and jamming the LA freeways.

The inconvenience is incomprehensible unless you have experienced it. ALL TRAFFIC comes to a complete standstill for WAY longer than one would expect.

I hate to be a kill joy, but those people have a lovely home. They travel enough on business. They need to STAY HOME. If they need a date night, they should just jaunt on over to the Lincoln Bedroom or have a party in that fab house. Don’t they have any friends?

It would save us a bundle.
