Broke Government, Deepening Debt, Rising Unemployment and a Spiraling Economy? ‘You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet’

Here’s a video of President Obama at a California fundraiser yesterday rattling off a litany of things he’s spending trillions of taxpayer dollars on, culminating in “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!”

Unfortunately, I believe him:

Watch carefully at the 1:30 mark when we find out that we’re paying for the health care of “children of undocumented workers” (“illegal aliens” is sooo yesterday).

In any case, I mention this because “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet” reminded me of one of Obama’s close economic advisers, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, who said a couple of years ago, amid very similar economic conditions, that “in five years, you’re gonna be blown away!”

Lots of people were blown away… to other states. Before too long, the only places left to work in Michigan will be unemployment offices and moving companies.

Incidentally, I do agree with Granholm on one issue. In an article that appeared yesterday at the Huffington Post, Granholm wrote that Michigan will “lead the green revolution.” I don’t doubt it. Is there any cleaner state than one where all the people and businesses have moved out?

So, using one of Obama’s economic advisers and her prior guarantee vs. the results we saw in Michigan as a precedent to Obama’s promise to the nation yesterday, I have no doubt at all that we ain’t seen nothin’ yet. All we need is hope — and with 16,000 jobs a day lost since the “stimulus” passed, “hope” is all we have left.

But don’t worry, the economy will take off shortly — Obama’s lighting the fuse on a new plan right now!

The underlying theme that is being ignored in most circles is that the Obama Administration desires to make most Americans totally beholden to government for everything…and once that tipping point is passed undoing the damage will require a total change in how we choose to govern ourselves. Given our demographics, and the notion that too many people are already dependent on government largesse the possibility of correcting our course, undoing the damage, will be next to impossible unless 2010 brings a whole new crowd of fiscal conservatives to Washington.

Are “we” the government, or as the Obamatrons seem to believe, is Obama the government?

speaking for myself and those I love, Cold Warrior, please don’t underestimate the resolve of the American People. I think it the current Admin that “hasn’t seen nothing yet”/

There are limits. Personally they were reached by day 10, but….

There will be fewer and fewer buyers to what they are selling day by day. Keep the Faith.

Pitchforks and torches have worked throughout the millenia, I don’t see that it won’t work again.
