Obligatory “Japanese guitar prodigy rocks Ellen and meets Ozzy” post

Normally, this wouldn’t have escaped the notice of Hot Air’s resident nipponista, but hey, this was a busy week.  What with residual Prejean fallout, Cheney v. Obama, the Cali tax revolt and Pelosi blinking on EIT’s, it would’ve been easy to miss this heartwarmer…in which a 9-year old guitar prodigy from Tokyo simultaneously channels Randy Rhoads while tugging on the audience’s heartstrings with an eerily cherubic smile.  Click image to feel the warm and fuzzies.

This kid is good…holding his composure even as he meets Ozzy.  And don’t think the job offer is mere head-patting to be dispensed as a sop to the awed otaku.  There is ample precedent for fanboys eventually getting the dream gig.

Now, back to the kid…that cherubic grin, the angelic voice…where have I heard it before?  Why does this child sound so hauntingly familiar?  Oh, yeah.  Japan rocks!

Damn! Considering how little his hands are in relation to that fretboard, he has no business playing that well. Good for him.

Weirdly enough, just today I was looking for Karl Sandoval’s contact info so I could have that same guitar built for me.
