The best coverage of the issue and the details behind it is taking place at the American Papist Blog Notre Dame category that has followed this from day one and includes the list of 70 bishops that have publicly come out against it. Since the media hates Christianity in general and Catholicism in particular its an easy call. As there are several protestant denominations who consider Catholicism more evil than Abortion. It allows one to divide.

I honestly hope that the university will reconsider the honorary degree. It is not deserved or earned. He has not even done as much as Dolly Parton who has earned her own degree because of her good works for the children in Tennessee.
