Scaring the beejezus out of millions of New Yorkers for a “photo op?”
To what end? A new set of picture postcards to hand out to visiting world leaders?
I’d much rather see photo ops like this one, taken as President Reagan departed Berlin after telling Gorbachev, to the horror and consternation of the so-called expert foreign policy wonks, to “tear down this Wall!”
To paraphrase General Garcia, in the 1979 movie, The In-Laws, ” theeese ees a photo op!”

Blowback

Aaahhh, the glory days! I’m glad the Reagan terms were a part of my history. From Reagan, I learned liberty. From Obama, I’m learning the terror of tyranny.

As I was growing up, I became “politically” aware during the Carter-Reagan debates. If only the ones after him were half the men he had been, we would be in much better shape now.

American Thinker cited another blog that said that the flyover was executed to give footage to a George Lucas film on the the Tuskegee Airmen.

Even more outrageous…Lucasfilm has the capacity, easily, to do all of this on computer, with far better graphics and clarity. If they can do Starwars and Indian Jones on a computer screen, there is no reason under the sun for this sort of super secret flyover of lower Manhattan.
And, Lucasfilm had better have paid 100% of the cost for this entire event…all of it, to include compensation to the hundreds of businesses that lost paid working hours, among other losses imposed on NYC.
