Who says the media is areligious?  They worship.  Just not the same god that Christians do.  Here’s a remarkably puffy piece at CNN on Michelle Obama.

(CNN) — Michelle Obama is the real national stimulus burst we need. With a twinkle in her eye, and maybe a small tear, she makes us believe in ourselves, because she’s proof positive that there is an American dream.  … look hard at Michelle and you’ll see plenty of elements of the modern superwoman … So WWMD? That is the question more young women and men will be asking themselves, as they look past the banal, filthy-rich celebrities of yore toward role models of substance.

What would Michelle do?  I don’t care.  Because I know what she’s done.  She has:

Role model? Not hardly. And one more note for the adoring media – Michelle Obama is not the first lady to expose her arms:

Blowback

Silly me. I assumed WWMD stood for What Would Meghan Do?

Oh, jeez, that’s even worse. At least MO has some nominal accomplishments.

What Would Michelle Do
had she been born outside the United States?

I saw the words “remarkably puffy piece,” and thought it might be Michelle Malkin!

cuz what’s remarkably about CNN slobbering over an Obama?

CK MacLeod on April 21, 2009 at 2:03 PM

You make a good point. :-) But I just meant this was extra-puffy, even for CNN. It’s so puffy if it were a toilet paper ad it’d have cute cartoon bears and grandmotherly embroiderers in the clouds with puppies.

Jackie was quite a few years younger than ma belle when those pictures were taken and she was wearing what was stylish then.

I don’t think The Won enjoyed the the attention that was diverted from him by her presence in Europe. I bet she sticks closer to home and is quieter for a while.

I see. You’re talking major puffiness quotient. Even for CNN on La Obama. I stand, um, informed! Instead of James Earl Jones doing “THIS IS CNN,” they need some little front-toothless girl whose freckles are so cute you can hear them!

(couldn’t bring myself to watch it I think even if my sound card was working, so I’m taking your word for it on the piece)
