If McCain truly desires to be a leader, she’s got to show a willingness to lead and go against the flow instead of simply embracing the bland, tired GOP bashing that passes for entertainment in an effort to look “hip.”

Leader? WTF has this princess done besides being born and ragging on the GOP? She’s a dolt and should be mercilessly ridiculed as long as she puts herself in the public arena.

She will be a good member for the party of ass. We have enough rino’s already, and I wish her dad a happy retirement.

Despite my strong disagreement with where she wants to lead the GOP, (and because I’m the father mother of two girls), it does bother me to see the litany of nasty comments about her weight or appearance whenever her latest irritating statement is mentioned on a conservative blog, since expressing such sentiments seems pointless and unnecessary.

I really don’t see where commenting on anyones weight is going to help anyone prove their point. Having said that, she is wrong to call herself a Republican and the party should totally reject her. I get the feeling she does like the media attention and perhaps she’s more afraid of the vitriol that would come from the left if she espoused conservative values. In any case, she doesn’t seem to have a clue what being conservative is about, but that’s not too surprising really considering who her father is.

Personally I see no need to post anything about Meghan McCain. This isn’t a pop culture site is it?

Yes, among other things.

I was like that too before I became “politically aware” as I like to call it. Of course as the daughter of a Senator you’d think she would be a bit less naive, but on the other hand I almost envy her and miss that time where I was blissfully ignorant of the partisan hate. In truth many times people make more of things than are there too, so there is that.

Well..Spirit is obviously not a South Park Republican.

Actually, while I don’t always agree with everything they say, I do respect the creators of South Park because they have no sacred cows. Everything is fair game. I even find myself laughing at things on the show that I know I really shouldn’t find amusing. But they are talented enough to pull it off most of the time.

Used to like Family Guy, but lately it has been very skewed on the Conservative bashing. As someone that has done a little bit of comedy writing, bashing on Christians, Conservatives, and Republicans is taking the easy way out, as in some circles it has become socially accepted. The same with working blue. Much more difficult to write clean humor. Or to write humor that makes fun of the uncommon targets. Someone like Russel Brand wanted to show some real talent, he would make fun of liberals and the Hollywood establishment and make them laugh at themselves.

As for Meghan McCain, she seems like a nice enough kid, but reminds me of some of my daughters acquaintances from school that suffer a bit from low self esteem. They will do anything they think will gain them acceptance with the popular crowd. Even if it is something they will regret when they are older. Coming from where she did, she was probably sheltered and did not mature emotionally as quickly as others her age.

Folks, we’ve been infiltrated. Without trying to sound too much like a conspiracy theorist, I fear we have Manchurian Candidates in our midst.

If the Republicans become like McCain wants, the Republican party will be dead. They’ll never win another Southern state. McCain lost VA and NC (first time in Meghan’s lifetime a D has won NC – good job there you trend setter). If they go further, they’ll lose GA, FL, and on down. . . all the while the D party will blame the R party for anything bad that happens to the country.

Forget it. He doesn’t have sense. If the Bushes can do it, heh-heh, why can’t the McCains? Meghan should stop trashing the Karl Rove and hire him.

There are plenty of smart conservative women who bust their a** for audience and credibility, and they don’t get the puff treatment this spoiled little moron gets.
