I’m a rightwing extremist…and PROUD member of the Chattering Class.

TN Mom on April 17, 2009 at 9:03 PM

This “You Might Be a Rightwing Extremist If” list needs to be written up. It’s great!

Loxodonta on April 17, 2009 at 9:15 PM

I’m a typical white person who is definitely a radical rightwing extremist, teabagging redneck. Show. No. Shame.

Alden Pyle on April 17, 2009 at 9:26 PM

There were at least 500 right wing extremists at the Tea Party in Carrollton, TX. They had a sign up sheet so that they would know how many people were actually there and willing to sign their name, address, phone number and e-mail.
I consider myself a Born-Again Conservative Extremist and I’m proud of it. I think all my children are of a like mind. I know they’re Born-Again and if they understand what the Bible really says, they have to be conservative and part of the right wing.

Oh that was you, kewl.

MirCat on April 17, 2009 at 9:28 PM

There was no entertainment, no food and no speakers at the Carrollton, TX Tea Party. Just ordinary people who took 2 hours out of their lives to walk and talk about what they saw as the wrong direction that the current Congress and Administration is taking. Raising taxes, spending like money grows on trees and regulating like they’re running a dictatorship, not a democratic republic where people are supposed to have the power. “Of the people, by the people and for the people”, not for politicians.

TruthToBeTold on April 17, 2009 at 9:32 PM

You might be a right wing extremist if you believe that a child should be raised from a baby not razed as a baby.

(That’s a twofer)

- The Cat

P.S. Ron Paul was economically correct but a foreign policy loonie. And this coming from someone who was crazy enough to vote for Ross Perot twice. (Yeah, regrets)

MirCat on April 17, 2009 at 9:34 PM

You might be a right wing extremist if you think that higher aspirations do not take higher taxes.

P.S. You might be a libertarian if you just want to be higher

MirCat on April 17, 2009 at 9:38 PM

I absolutely LOVE the pitchfork in the background image for the video.

VibrioCocci on April 17, 2009 at 9:42 PM

MCCAIN/PALIN 2012 The other McCain that is.

tjexcite on April 17, 2009 at 9:44 PM

I like the how lone commentator attacking the vid as astro-turfing is a foreigner who openly claims he has overstayed his visa and voted in the last elections. He’s also ugly as sin.

darclon on April 17, 2009 at 9:56 PM

Lots of potential there. For example…

You might be a rightwing extremist if you think Congress/President should READ a bill before signing it.

Daggett on April 17, 2009 at 10:02 PM

Cat… Voted for H Ross Perot in 96′ just couldn’t vote for a Senator if I had a choice, and Ross was a rational protest vote in CT at the time…

’92 was when I realized Dem’s aren’t anywhere near the center. Thought the foreign policy issue had gone away with the fall of the Berlin wall, so a dem president was an option. Was full of “DC needs change” so I voted for the guy from Arkansas. Within a week, I knew it was a mistake when Bubba started putting up all the Carter rejects for the cabinet…

People wanted change, just like 92… but the MSM hid what that change would be with Barry… They ran the 92 gameplan, and the MSM pushed it through… Now people are pissed… Now can the GOP make the sale that it is the party of fiscally rational people first, which is highly welcoming to the religious instead of the opposite.

You might be a Right Wing Extremist if you do not need a Teleprompter..

Ladywolfnl on April 17, 2009 at 10:08 PM

You might be a rightwing extremist if:

- you want to keep your change in your own pocket
- you understand that CO2 is photosynthetic food, not pollution.

phreshone on April 17, 2009 at 10:13 PM

You might be a right winger if you spell JOBS with four letters, Biden.

John the Libertarian on April 17, 2009 at 10:27 PM

You might be a rightwing extremist if:

You believe that our American war veterans are heroes and not potential terrorists.

Dead on the money, every post.

You might be a right wing extremist if you use common sense, logic and facts instead of your “feelings.”

You might be a right-wing extremist if you live in Alabama.

SouthernGent on April 17, 2009 at 10:50 PM

He makes a great point at the end. It doesn’t matter right now how Republicans got off course, and landed on the wrong beach. We’re here, we’re under fire, and we have to start the attack from where we are.

You might be a right wing extremeist if your bumper sticker says…

You might be a rightwing extremist if you know the difference between carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide.

baldilocks on April 17, 2009 at 11:31 PM

According to Jane-o Nappy-litano, I’m a right-wing extremist:
–I’m pro-life
–I’m a vet
–I’m anti-high tax
Worst of all…
–I’m a postal worker!

jgapinoy on April 17, 2009 at 11:38 PM

BTW, that’s probably not an exact Jefferson quote–it’s not found in any of his writings. There’s an authentic one that’s similar, though:

To take from one, because it is thought that his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, ‘the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry, & the fruits acquired by it.

jgapinoy on April 17, 2009 at 11:46 PM

The last two clauses in that quote seem to indicate that Jefferson thought any income tax to be un-American, even un-patriotic, Joe Biden.

jgapinoy on April 17, 2009 at 11:48 PM

That was entertaining! Well done.

FloatingRock on April 18, 2009 at 12:24 AM

I enjoyed most of it but…Ron Paul? No, thanks.

Django on April 18, 2009 at 12:45 AM

I think you missed his point: It’s not about Ron Paul, it’s about taking back our country.

Browncoatone on April 18, 2009 at 12:50 AM

dear god, I think I’m schizophrenic. I can’t tell if I’m a patriot, an infidel, a conservative or a right-wing extremist. I guess I have no choice but to embrace all of my personalities!

cannonball on April 18, 2009 at 1:15 AM

I thoroughly enjoyed that.

It was like watching Mr. Smith goes to Washington.
The version I have in my head.

Let’s do it again 7/4/09!

Kini on April 18, 2009 at 1:40 AM

You are definitely a rightwing extremist if you believe in something called ‘personal responsibility’.

You also might be a rightwing extremist if you think regulating flatulence and heavy breathing is a little beyond what the founding Fathers intended government to be doing.

Great speech. Plus I love the manual retro teleprompter. It’s “uh … uh …. uh” proof.

ballz2wallz on April 18, 2009 at 7:06 AM

You might be right wing extremist if you oppose transforming America into a Euro-socialist state.

You might be a rightwing extremist if you know the difference between carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide.

baldilocks on April 17, 2009 at 11:31 PM

Let’s see:

Most people exhale carbon dioxide?

Olberman, Garofalo, and others in that particular herd of cud chewers exhale carbon monoxide?

Right?
